Winter Engagement Photos - Ideas?

My fiance and I are considering taking a second set of engagement photos, this time in the winter. We absolutely loved our first set of pictures, and thought that since we postponed, taking a second set might be a fun thing to do while we wait for our new wedding date (our wedding was around 90% planned at the time we postponed, so we don't have much to do there).

However, we have no clue what we would wear or what type of scenery we'd want to take them in! I don't really want to do heavy jackets and boots. Pinterest hasn't been too much help here. Does anyone have any winter engagement photos they'd be willing to share for inspiration, or any ideas for fun/unique winter scenery, or ideas for winter dresses/other outfits?

Not sure where you're located, but if it snows in the winter, photos in a snow covered forest would be beautiful! Instead of heavy jackets and boots, you could opt for a nice camel colored wool coat with cute boots? Not sure what your style is, but here's some photos I found of outfits that I think are cute! You could also incorporate a nice blanket into your photos! It would keep you both warm, but also add some character to your photos!

Photos in the snow can be so beautiful and elegant! One of my favorites is bright red dresses against the white snow! Pale nudes in the snow are also quite beautiful. And bonus: you could use one of the pictures for Christmas cards!

We are in the Midwest, so there is definitely snow (and usually lots of it!) in the winter. Thank you for the outfit suggestions!! I think the camel color would especially look pretty. That first outfit is my favorite, and I love the idea of bringing a blanket!

Oh my gosh that red!! That is so pretty against the snow! Definitely stands out. I especially love that dress in the first photo. Thanks for sharing these! I also love the idea of being able to use them on Christmas cards, I actually hadn't even thought of that!
