Is your date set in stone? I love that theme and tried to convince my fiance to have our wedding in the winter but he hates the cold and we wanted an outdoor ceremony. I think if you have an indoor reception venue you could pull it off.

Honestly I think it's a little strange. Weddings don't have to have a theme. I guess you could make white your primary colors and use those centerpieces inspos but still not call it a Winter theme.

I think it’s a bit odd but if you really want to do it then you could probably pull it off.

I agree with Sarah P.. themes are kind of odd to me.. I would go with that color pallet, but if you’re dying to make it look like winter, is there any way you could hold off a few more months and have an actual winter wedding?

It would be really odd to sit there and see pinecones in June. Vice versa palm trees in January. Change your date or theme.

You're not an idiot, you don't need to have a theme! You can still plan a wonderful wedding in the summer.

You know, when it comes to a theme and decor, it's one area where you can totally do you for the most part.....if your guests are comfortable, wined and dined, it doesn't matter much what the room looks like. If you want a theme that's a little offbeat, go for it!

I do think it would be weird to do a winter theme in summer. But you can still take elements of those centerpieces and use them in a non-winter way. Like the white flowers, crystals, and branches.

So you tell your sister "we're not having a theme." Or "the theme is love and wedding."

I think it works but without the pine cones and silver ornaments. You don’t have to say there’s a theme but that’s the style you want.

Where would you get pine cones even? They’d be really expensive. I’m thinking that a lot of your decor would have to be bought in advance or you’ll be paying through the nose for it.
