Wintery Bachelorette in Lake Tahoe.

Liz , on August 3, 2018 at 11:13 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 5

In total need of Lake Tahoe information. Am trying to plan my bachelorette party of about 20 girls to go in February 2019. We are thinking of getting a big airbnb with a pool inside and big enough for a bunch of games and such. Outside of that, I would love to learn more about activities to do during the day. We would love to go in some natural hot springs, wine or beer tasting (we are a rowdy group so a high energy place with music would be a plus), and maybe go on an easy hike? We wouldn't be there to ski. Any ideas would be so helpful.

Oh sound like FUN! Where in Tahoe are you planning on staying? From your description, I would recommend South Lake Tahoe, California. Hot Springs you can be rowdy at are going to be difficult. THere are several hot springs in the area. There are numerous hot springs in the area but many of the undeveloped ones may not be accessible in Feb (snow). I would recommend getting the book "Hot Springs and Hot Pools of the Southwest". The closes to South Lake would be the pools in Markleeville- Grover hot Springs (developed) (30 miles). There are also some hike to springs near Markleville. Travertine Hot Springs outside Bridgeport (85 miles) would be another option (they are more natural- 4x4 vehicle to get there).

Since South Lake Tahoe sits on the NV/ CA state line, you have several casinos there with bars/clubs to get rowdy in. There are many bars and breweries scattered all over South Lake. I like Cold Water Brewery and Grill and South Lake Brewing.

Hiking in February near Lake Tahoe is going to be (most likely as we are hoping for a good snow winter) snow covered. Plan for snowshoeing.

Try this site for some LT activities

Hope this gives you some ideas. Have Fun!

Let me start by saying Tahoe is amazing! It’s actually where we got engaged Smiley smile

But there is a ton of stuff to do up there without skiing/snowboarding. We have done snowmobiling before which is awesome, they just need to have a good enough winter with decent snow coverage. Also if your in South Lake Tahoe there’s the casinos on the Nevada side. I’ve seen some bachelorette parties at the clubs and casinos.

Ummm you're not going on a hike in the middle of February in Lake Tahoe, it snows.... I hope you have an all wheel drive car or 4 wheel drive. If it's not snowing when you get there expect snow and dress warmly.
I live in the middle of the Tahoe National forest, you could maybe ski or dog sled? Snowmobile?

I’m actually having my bachelorette party there in a few weeks. We planned it early because we wanted to enjoy the lake while it’s warm. We’re doing a pole dancing class and probably some casinos and clubs and then hanging out at the lake.

Tahoe is gorgeous. Like PPs be sure to have 4 wheel drive or chains. Squaw Valley has a really cute village area and there are snowshoeing excursions you could check out. I would skip the hot springs and opt for a hot tub at where you decide to stay. Way easier to drink and chill and run back to the hotel/bnb to change.
