I just learned today that super glue was actually meant for skin.

It was invented and used during wars to glue cuts closed...learned something new today

To get the super glue off your fingers make a simple brown sugar scrub (just look up a quick recipe online there are a ton out there) just start scubbing away. The glue will come off and make your hands feel oh so great!

Since I've started doing DIY activities I've been taking my ring off...just in case!

HAHAHAAHHAHA I know it may not be funny to you yet, but it gave me a good giggle!

@ Cydney - yup I had no clue either - until I sliced my finger deep once (to the bone, ewww) and I waited too long to get stitches (being a typical stubborn young soldier at the time) and they had to glue me back together!

@ Hayley - that sucks royally but you'll definitely be laughing at this as soon as all the glue comes off lol

Oh, I'm fine with my fingers glued - I just hope the ring is ok. Soaked it in nail polish remover to remove the glue while both kids were banned to their cribs screaming.

Yup, like a charm! and definitely a good tidbit of info to have if I end up having little reckless ones in the future lol.

Ouch! I know that was messy! If it makes you feel any better I glued something much worse when I was pregnant with my oldest. I mistook superglue for eye drops one day, and well glued my right eye shut. Completely shut. Lost all my eyelashes and was a pirate for two weeks due to the eye patch I had to wear while it healed. Yup stranger things have happened my dear! And surprisingly at the ER they were completely prepared and not at all surprised. Apparently its happened before. So don't feel bad or silly!!! LOL!

Oh... OUCH... I feel so bad for you and your poor eye! That made my stomach turn.

Fingers are doing better and both babies are asleep. Time for me to eat some lunch and catch a cat nap.

Yep, Hayley, you sleep when they sleep. It is the key to sanity. : )

They still use a special type of super glue to close cuts that are bad but the Dr.s dont want to do a stitch...Hopefully it will come off soon
