Wood Branding ceremony?

Has anyone/ will anyone be doing a branding ceremony for their wedding? I think its cool! we're a very outdoorsy couple, having a more rustic feel to our wedding, and I'm an equestrian- so it fits with our lifestyle and decor - and then maybe having it as our guest book for people to sign after But...

But I'm worried about logistics. Our ceremony is indoors, so obviously a flame and smoke are a concern. For those who have done it, did it give off a lot of smoke? how did you keep the iron hot?

I think it is a really cool idea, especially hearing from all of these farmer/rancher brides. Growing up, my dad and papa raised cows, just as a small side-job/hobby, they never branded any of the cattle, but I do understand the reasons this is a thing and how much a part of the western US culture this is. Sorry that the first reaction many commenters have had were about physical branding.
But I do think it would be best done outside and not sure how well you could get a crowd of people to move locations during the ceremony.

When we asked our venue to use the fire pit we made sure to say it was hide we were burning not each other. They seemed shocked we had to be specific aha
