Wood oven pizza for reception?

I am getting married in a romantic, rustic barn at a winery. We are on a tight budget for dinner. Our ceremony will be at 4pm and I imagine we will eat around 6. What are your thoughts on serving pizza (multiple different pizzas, salad and probably a few other sides like veggies and maybe polenta)...

What are your thoughts on serving pizza (multiple different pizzas, salad and probably a few other sides like veggies and maybe polenta) for the wedding dinner? I still want the feel to be romantic and I want everyone seated at tables to eat. While I LOVE pizza I don't want it to take away from the romance. For some reason when I think "pizza" I see everyone on in plaid lying on blankets in the vineyard (not that any of that is bad, just not my vision for this particular day Smiley smile) what do you all think?

Your first 30 guests come for you. The next however many come for the party.

I haven't read the comments yet, but I'll say it. Don't serve crap pizza to your guests. Domino's is disgusting.

I definitely like the idea of Pasta instead of polenta. I am going to make sure there are cute little signs in front of each pizza and that the set up will be aesthetically pleasing. With that said, someone mentioned Olive Garden and they start at $7 a person for catering! Throwing it out there for anyone else who might be interested. Might be a good idea for an engagement party or something Smiley smile

I love polenta but it's a real Italian dish. Most people may not even know what it is. Pasta will please the most people.

@Snarky, Yes I have been to plenty of weddings actually. From some of the most glamorous weddings, to a wedding that took place in a home because that's all they could afford. My views on life and other people's situations are very understanding, it has always been a characteristic of mine. I'm also from down south, and we aren't snobby people lol
