Wording for recipe cards at wedding??

Lindsey, on August 9, 2017 at 3:32 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 1 8

Hi everyone! I am having some recipe cards made up to place out at my wedding for the guests to write on... I'd like to include a slip of paper in the invitations that lets the guests know in advance, so they can think of/bring a recipe... but I can't think of any cutesy wording.. I hate for it to just say "please bring a recipe for the bride & groom..." any ideas?! TIA!!

I've only seen this for showers, and the recipe cards themselves are usually in the envelope. If your wedding isn't formal, I think it would be fine to do the same for a wedding

Lindsey and Mr Lindsey love to eat

A homemade meal will be a treat

Give us a nudge, give us a clue

What's a favorite of your family and you?

We look forward to collecting the recipes of our family and friends--if you care to share!

I think it would be better for your shower tbh

If you asked me to bring a recipe to share to a wedding, I would already have it on a nice recipe card. It would be frustrating to have to switch it over.

Also, if you didn't ask me to bring one, there's no way I could just jot one down off the top of my head.

I like this for showers, but it seems out of place at the wedding.

I would put a recipe card in the invite and maybe have a cute recipe box with some extra blank cards in case people forgot at the wedding, but have something in mind that they can share!

I agree I like this better for showers. If you don't want opinions then I'm sure there are cute sayings found through a Google search.

Personally, I wouldn't want to make more work for my guests by asking them to write a recipe. It's hard enough just to get them all to RSVP. If you want recipes that badly, there's millions on line.
