Wording in Wedding programs

Kadisha, on September 28, 2011 at 4:48 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 3

My mother was never married but my father is some what still in my life.

My maternal grandmother passed away (we are dedicating to her) and my maternal grandfather is still alive and will be at the wedding

My paternal grandmother is still alive and will be attending the wedding but my paternal grandfather I really don't know that well.

My fiance...

His mother is a widow and we are dedicating as well to his late stepfather

His maternal grandmother is still alive and will be attending.

How can I word this in my bridal party??? Is it okay to put

(example) Maternal Grandmother of the Bride

Mrs. Jackie Olsen

Paternal Grandfather of the Groom

Mr. Johnny Dep

Is it okay to word it with Maternal and Paternal? Also my father and I speak alot on the phone but I have not seen him in years. I love him dearly but should I acknowledge him on my wedding programs? He will not be attending the wedding.

Should I still place my grandmother on there as Grandparents of the bride although she have passed. We will have a dedication and memory ceremony for her and my fiance's step father at the wedding

I don't think you need maternal/paternal... but that is me....

(title = first name) (last = Last name) maybe????? sorry if I didn't get everything matched up right...

Since your parents not married, I put them on different lines

    Parents of the Bride

    Mom Last

    Dad Last

    Parents of the Groom

Mom Last and the late Step Last

    Dad Last

    Grandparents of the Bride

    Grandmother and Grandfather Last

Grandfather Last and the late Grandmother Last

    Grandparents of the Groom

Grandmother Last and the late Grandfather Last

the late Grandmother and the late Grandfather Last
