Worried about wedding pictures

Is anyone else terrified about their wedding photos? I am the least photogenic person ever. I hate pictures. I don’t take a good picture. Ever. Sigh.
I did my hair and make trial today. I had to do it with a local stylist as my wedding is a destination wedding.
I like the hair but I’m hoping the clip in extensions will help with the fullness because I don’t like that all of my hair is in the back. I want it to come over my shoulders so I look like I have hair at least. I also don’t like the way she left so much loose in the front. I want to camouflage my high forehead but not with just a bunch of hair hanging. As for makeup I think this was my fault. I wanted natural but not quite so natural. I’ll show some of my inspiration photos for both too. Anyway, I’m just worried that even with the professional hair and makeup I’m going to hate my pictures. 😞

Yes ma'am, I hate pics of myself. Took engagement pics with one of the top 10 photographers in my city and out of 185 shots, I only liked the way I looked in 5 of them! It didn't help that my sister and future MIL made comments that I looked unnatural and that my hat was "strange."

My solution for the wedding pics is that I'm not paying for it lol! Fh and/or his parents will be paying for them if they want professional pics.

What about a soft bridal look? Sometimes when you say soft instead of natural they do it just a little bit more I think you are going to need more clip in to make the hair fuller.

I think your pictures are good! I remember seeing a couple of them.
Our photographer is part of the venue we are using so it’s already paid for. And I want photos. I just want them to be good photos of me. 😏

Yes, I have no clip ins today. I have some ordered but they needed come in time. Im hoping with the extensions it will give the fullness I want and will allow some to come over my shoulders.

I am very happy that you made mention of the "natural look" because that is what I thought I wanted, but apparently need to do some homework in order to be able to specify that I don't a complete natural look. I do think the soft bridal look is the way to go if wanting natural while also getting a pop of soft color.

Would you consider leaving your hair down with waves/curls? from the front pic it doesn't look like you got your hair done at all. I think more volume all around would look amazing on you. By having a semi updo you're giving the illusion of a higher forehead. love the makeup though and you look super happy

I honestly think you look great! But if you're not happy with how you look then I think the soft bridal makeup Jasmine posted would be really pretty on you too.

I don’t have a problem with it being down but I’ll need a way to have my veil and headpiece put in. Can they do something with just a little hair pulled back to give a foundation for the veil and headpiece to attach to?
This is my veil/headpiece:

She did pull back more on the sides than I really wanted too. Maybe I need to look for other inspiration photos.

They can clip in your veil with all your hair down. Have her style your hair down & practice with the veil. Then you can pull a little bit back after and see which you like better

That’s what I’ll say next time for sure. I did show her several pictures that had much more color than she did but I guess she caught on the “more natural” part than the pictures.

Have you taken engagement pictures with your wedding photographer? Also, I think it's a good thing you got a trial run and know what you want to change for the day of.

When I got my engagement pictures done, I did my trial run of makeup that day as well. I was insecure because I gained (and lost) weight. Growing up I never really liked being in front of the camera. All of my insecurities hit me at once while planning this wedding. Long story short, after being shy and hardly smiling, my photographers were just so awesome that my fiance and I got comfortable quickly and just enjoyed ourselves. The pictures came out beautiful and now I have no doubt that they will look equally (if not better) as good as they did for our engagement pictures.

I noticed with both my engagement photos and wedding photos I was just picking myself apart, which is typical that we notice flaws on ourselves and not others. They actually have a lot of free apps where you can edit your own photos and they are surprisingly effective for a free app.also, you could always do another trial with the same person. Chances are, if youre specific with what you didnt like the first time youll like the second one better

Ok so first off, you are beautiful!! And the makeup (while I understand you want to kick it up a notch) highlights that - your bone structure, bright eyes, and beautiful glowy skin!! I really don't think you'll have a single issue with your wedding photos!! Honestly, you look so happy and so naturally beautiful...that's only gonna be amplified when you add the "soft glam" makeup and the whole marrying-your-future-spouse thing!! Eyeshadow, hair clip, how your hair is pulled back...those things can all be easily tweaked
