Worth it or not worth it?

I found The coolest programs on Etsy today. They are Disney which fits our theme for the wedding perfectly. It’s essentially a Disney “map” but for the wedding. It can have anything in it from tips to the reception schedule. Part of me thinks this would be super fun to add to our theme and have programs at the same time. Part of me doesn’t want to deal with spending money on things that will be trashed. What is your stance?

Those are really cute, but unfortunately most programs end up in the trash. I would sadly skip these Smiley sad

They are so cute. You don't think you'd be able to recreate something similar to it on your own? I'd probably try doing it on my own instead.

Thank you so much for that idea!! I just messed around on Canva on my phone for a bit and did a test of their materials. I think I’ll be able to do it 😁

I am doing programs but my family owns a printing company so its a different situation. If I had to spend money on them I would do something cheaper because like you said they end up in the trash

I felt the exact same way about programs until we found ours. I thought programs were stupid and I didn’t want to pay for a piece of paper with a bunch of info we could just have announced for free. I found ours on Etsy and I am just in love it how they turned out!! Ours ended up costing about $150 to have 100 of them printed. I think if you can swing it, it’s a really nice touch and another way you can connect with your guests. It just gives them another little taste of you and your FH! If I did not find the program style I did then we would not have done them.

Those are so cute! That’s exactly how I feel! I was Looking for something simple and I saw These and fell in love with them. My fh has approved the purchase and I’m thinking that even if no one else keeps them we have a beautiful keepsake from the wedding for us. I am currently however experimenting with canva though to try on my own to recreate. I may Be able to do it but the graphics might be something that aggravates me. Definitely something if I can do it that I will do on my computer.

They are cute but it's unnecessary.

Aww thank you! I am just in love with them. My favorite section is where is says “celebrating from home” and it has our two cat’s names 😩 but I say if you can recreate it then go for it! Then all you really have to pay is the card stock and ink, or the printing service. We attempted but it just ended up being to hard for us so I said screw if we will pay someone else to do it 😝

I would skip them- one less detail you need to worry about.

I decided on doing it and printed one per couple to avoid too much waste. I made a First Class in flight magazine and printed for only $30. It’s a fun way to connect and has a flow to events -like Jewish deets anyone who isn’t Jewish wouldn’t know - who’s who, and the drink and food menus, which avoided me printing menus! So it’s something for guests to read pre ceremony to give them an idea of what will be happening.

That’s a great idea! One per couple would definitely save some money.

Can you possibly order just 1 for yourself to have? I agree, they’ll most likely end up in the trash by most.

We decided to order them. Trash or not it will allow people to be in the loop of things. For our crowd that will be a good thing.

I LOVE the idea! I understand that programs pretty much end up in the trash but I think it helps guests stay entertained while they wait for the ceremony to actually start. I plan on saving one myself to put in a wedding scrapbook.
