Worthwhile bachelorette party favors?

Danni, on April 9, 2021 at 4:39 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 13

Hi lovely brides!

I just booked my beach bachelorette and now I'm thinking about favors I can hand out for guests to have during the weekend. I've been to a few bachelorettes where I've gotten shirts and other items with the bride's name on it or "Bridesmaid" written on items, but they all get tossed after the wedding.

Curious to hear some favorite bachelorette favors you've given/relieved that are worth the spend! The bachelorette also has a few non bridal party members so I want to stay away from the bridal party labels.

TYIA!

Other than gag gifts like some buttons that we wore on our night out or something, I've never actually been to a bachelorette with favors. I've honestly only ever seen that in movies and on TV shows. Unless there is something you are dying to give them, I would skip it and call it a day. Maybe try to buy a round of drinks if they let you.

My MOH gave my attendees Minnie ears (it was at Disney), coozies and hair ties. I honestly don't know if any of the girls ended up keeping them. I paid for our villas and a few rounds of drinks.

If you do want to give something physical, I'd suggest something consumable like nips (maybe with a cute shotglass?) or hangover kits?

I saw a bach where the bride bought everyone heart-shaped sunglasses that were SUPER cute and not wedding-specific.

I'm having a beach bachelorette too and am thinking about giving my friends Brumates (insulated can or wine koozies) and maybe including a few little extras like airplane bottles of alcohol and crazy straws - something fun they can use for the weekend and hopefully use in the future too!

I don't think I have ever kept anything given to me, or any personal souvenir, of a bachelorette. I have never kept any from any other dance or party since I was about 15. I think it is a complete waste of money. And I never wear anything with " cute" sayings. If I wanted such a thing I would get it myself, not wear something given to me in a group event. I like to go out on the streets looking normal, not like I came for Mardi Gras 4 years ago and stayed.

I kept the tumblers that was given that just had my name on it. Anything personalized with their first name is a good bet.. really anything that doesn’t say “bridesmaid” or “bride tribe” a lot of people will keep. I’m planning a beach bachlorette for a friend in July, planned buy either tanks or beach towels just for the photos. Then planned to provide a tumbler, small sunscreen, alongside little fun inexpensive things like temp tattoos, scrunchies & bachlorette sunglasses etc.

100% agreed on trying to find something they'd keep. I'll be a beachfront bachelorette too so I planned to give them personalized sun hats, bridal babe sunglasses, and a cute fan. They are $22 each on etsy.

I’ve really never kept anything I’ve received from a bachelorette. Even if it isn’t wedding-themed,usually it is lower quality or simply not my style. If you want to say thank-you to your girls, what about picking up the cost of breakfast or dinner one night, or buy all the snacks for the house/beach? There are so many posts about bachelorette parties being too expensive, saving your girls a little bit would be such a really sweet gesture and something you can guarantee everyone would like!

I found super duper on sale Swell bottles that I bought for each girl ($8) and will use name decals from Etsy to personalize with their name. I also ordered cards off Etsy for each girl that I felt represented them and inside I'll write a personal note to each of them, including my favorite memories and why they are special to me.

I won't be having a bridal party, but I still wanted to let my friends know how special they are to me and I figured everyone loves a reusable water bottle that they can use through the weekend and after!

Haven't done my bachelorette yet, but I have bought a few thank you gifts for my girls and have tried to stick with things that say their names or have an initial on them rather than anything about the wedding. I have planned to get them bachelorette party tees but my girls would keep them (we're all sentimental pack rats), but other then that I'm sticking to useful gifts, water bottles, tote bags and only putting wedding related things on disposable items like mini champagne bottles and treats.
