Would it be weird if i hired a wedding day coordinator?

Absolutely not weird! You will find that many people have done that on this forum.
I have and it was probably the best decision I made during wedding planning. I also didn’t want my parents or friends to make sure everything was going smoothly during the wedding as I wanted everyone to relax and enjoy the day.
I highly recommend it.

Yes! Having a good and experienced wedding planner is always the best decision. Definitely don’t put the wedding day stress on your parents (or family or friends) shoulders. Allow them to simply enjoy the day as guests.

Not weird at all, in fact this is what most couples do these days. I'd highly recommend hiring a DOC (day of coordinator) to make sure everything goes smoothly

If you do a search of the forum (top right of the page) a day of coordinator is listed as the overall must have vendor. You can locate them in your area by searching on Instagram or Yelp. Browse their website which lists what they offer and their prices. Make an appointment to meet and see who you click with.

My venue comes with one, but if it didn’t I would definitely get one!

If your venue doesn’t come with one I would highly recommend it. It will really help take the stress off for that day.

My venue came with one - she was amazing. It's not just the set up, either - she kept H and I from running into each other before the ceremony and kept things running smoothly (for example, we had brought trays of food for the getting ready areas to the venue, and she brought those up when we needed them; she directed vendors as they arrived; that kind of thing).
