I don't totally agree with that. I would think that proposing with no ring and proposing with a rubber band, ring pop, or anything of that sort is a very different story. Every woman is different but for me personally, I wouldn't think he valued me. I would have loved to present my then-fiance with an engagement ring but it's not really a social norm, it is a topic that we discussed. I actually just made a discussion post about that.

View Quoted Comment I wore a simple pendant and the bridal hair combs (no veil). Which is far more than my usual. Usually I only have a fit bit that doubles as my alarm clock/watch and two hair bands.

I don't really have a reason for wearing it, so I don't. I had my ears pierced before, but just from disuse the holes filled in. I also have somr pendants and such. They just collect dust unless it's a fancy job event... Even then rarely.
