Would you go on your honeymoon with another couple?

It came up in conversation recently, and our first thought was, would it be crazy to go together as a group of 4? Of course we would respect each other's privacy and plan for group excursions, girls beach time, as well as private dinners. Has anyone done something like this? Any positives or negatives from your experience?

The late Mr Cheapskate and I went with another couple on our honeymoon cruise. BEST. VACATION. EVER! Really! It was a blast!

Yes! We've actually invited several of our closest friends on ours. My inspiration was my friend's destination wedding. They were there for a week, spent a few days with everyone who came for their wedding, then went off and did their own thing for a few days.

We love traveling with our friends and we're cool with just doing date nights and a few days on our own, but still being able to spend a few days with our friends in Cancun!

I wouldn't mind at all, then again FH and I been together for so long maybe that's why we wouldn't care.

Nope! we went on a vacation last year with another couple. we shared a 2 bedroom condo for a week...by the end of it we were all sick of each other. I actually would be open to going on a vacation with them again, as long as we got our own rentals. But for a honeymoon, I wouldn't want to risk it.

We've been on quite a few vacations with FH's best friend and his gf, but no way would I invite another couple to HM together. Now we are spending a couple days with our good friend in England just to say hi and but we'll spend the majority of the trip with just each other.

I think if it was like a cruise where you can still have plenty of space, it's cool.

I know somebody that with her husband, took the whole group of "guys" and crammed into 2 hotel rooms for a Cancun resort hm. I didn't understand at all.

Oh man, if we're talking about sharing accommodations, no way! We will have our own room in the resort, probably with lots of space between the rooms.

Nope. But my SIL went with another couple on hers, and totally regretted it. The other girl had an attitude problem the entire time and made the trip uncomfortable for everyone. Not a chance.

We are unintentionally going with another couple. One of my guy friends is getting married the same day as we are, so we have been planning and talking wedding stuff together. We found out the other day we have the same destination, flight, and resort. We both thought it was kind of cool! We are excited to do some stuff together on the second half of our honeymoons! I think if you enjoy this couple, and know you would still do stuff on your own, go for it

I think it depends on how close you are with the couple. My brother and sister-in-law went on their honeymoon with their best friends and loved it & had no problems with each other. I can think of a few couples I would go also go on a honeymoon with. Have you traveled with them before? That would be a big indication because while you may be great friends, if you haven't traveled together, that may be a big risk. But if you know you guys travel well together and you and your FH are fine with it, then I don't see why not.
