Would you go to a wedding if sending a picture of your vaccine card or proof of vaccine was required to attend?

We are thinking of doing this if herd immunity has not been reached in our state by the time our wedding rolls around early next year. Looking at some responses though, I don't know if I would ask for proof, I would just tell people that it's required ahead of time and have individual conversations with them so they know where we are coming from. If someone is unable to, for health reason, they can come to you on a case by case basis. The worst thing I could think of is losing a loved on because of actions directly related to my wedding. Given the opportunity for people to do things when they are "highly suggested" or "recommended", 9 out of 10 times - they won't. Would you rather your aunt be mad at you - or dead?

This is a once in a century situation and it requires a once in a century response - as unfortunate and uncomfortable as it may be. Don't let people make you feel bad about your decision

Thank you! It is such a hard decision and I am trying to decide how to ask this of our guests, as well. We are in unprecedented times and there is no right way to do this. I am just looking for compassion and care for why this needs to be addressed.

There is no right way to ask this. Our venue has made the requirement, so our hands our tied. We've lost a few attendees, which SUCKS, but unfortunately this is the way it is for now.
