Would you guys do the show four weddings?

AG13, on June 30, 2015 at 12:27 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 47

While I think it would be cool to try to win the honeymoon and have my wedding on TV. I don't know if I would like having people rate my wedding and it was also be super embarrassing if got last place and have people say bad things about their experience. PSA: If you don't know what show I am referring to. It is when 4 brides go to each others weddings and rate them The winner wins a honeymoon.

I think I would do it! You get to see 3 other brides weddings. I think it would be fun.

No..I don't even watch it...I think it encourages women to battle against each other and put each other down. IMO women are already encouraged to "hate" each other...I don't think society needs to encourage it more.

Given the "classy" gals they pick for the show.....that's a big fat NOPE from me. I know someone who was on the show and her wedding was so perfect and lovely for her and her husband, but the catty, low-class girls wouldn't stop complaining that the venue didn't allow shots (their policy, had nothing to do with my friend's preferences) and were overly critical of some of the things that made things perfect for C&R.

I wouldn't. Although it is a good way to gauge a flow of a wedding, what works, and maybe what ideas are just too complicated that guests don't even care about..

I actually love watching this show and have been seeing re-runs popping up on my DVR lately

It would be different if they paired for like brides together. But with such differing budgets and styles I don't like it.

FH would die if there were a camera following him around... plus I'm sure there's a lot going on in my wedding (no father-daughter/mother-son dances, no candy buffet, no exotic appetizers, non-floral centrepieces) that I would for sure end up last.

Nope. I don't want my wedding broadcast on live tv forever over and over.

No for the reasons FMM stated. Last summer someone I know who is getting married asked me to audition with her and 2 other girls for a Bravo wedding reality show. All 3 of us said no. I don't think it was a competition but I'm sure there would have been some manufactured drama. The premise was "Brides over 30 in NY/NJ planning over-the-top weddings"

Sometimes the girls aren't really bad, they have opinions but they are aren't total witches. Then sometimes others are just total mean girls who have something negative to say about everything. One mean girl won the one I watched yesterday and I was so mad she won!

ETA- I cannot form sentences today....

I agree with Tucker052315. It always amazed me that they had girls with $100k budget competing against a girl with a $12k budget. Although I'm always happy when the girl with the biggest budget doesn't win.

Heck no. They are way too critical of each other and I wouldn't want my special day being picked apart. They also purposely give a 5 or a 6 to every wedding they attend hoping it will help them win. So what just because you didn't like the kind of flowers the bride chose she gets a score of 5? I can't even watch it anymore because some of the brides are so pathetic with how they sit there and complain about every little thing.

No. My wedding was an intimate event with people I love and care about. Not for the whole wide world to see.

I've seen maybe 3 episodes were the women were genuinely well behaved and nice to each other. The rest of the time it's constant nitpicking and complaining and I hate how mean everyone is when the bride isn't nearby. Weddings shouldn't be competitions, we see that on here all the time. Have the wedding that makes you happy and that you can afford. While the show is a guilty pleasure of mine, I wouldn't want to subject my day or my family to that. I'm happier just watching.

I love watching that show, but I'd never want to be on it! I would hate to be on television, plus the brides always get so nit picky with each other. They get downright mean and nasty sometimes as well. As long as FH, our guests, and I have fun at our wedding, that's good enough for me. I don't need anyone picking out everything we didn't do well enough.
