PSA: If you don't know what show I am referring to. It is when 4 brides go to each others weddings and rate them The winner wins a honeymoon.

Weddings shouldn't be competitions. Its sad. I wouldn't do it. But the free honeymoon would be nice.

No. I have been known to binge watch the show, though...

I read an interview with someone who was on it and she said that it was SO intrusive. Her entire wedding was dominated by cameras in your face and it felt staged and fake. She also said going to that many weddings so close together was exhausting and stopped being fun after the first one.

I've thought about it but i'm not sure i want to add more pressure to my wedding plans than there already is.

Brides' ratings are purely opinions on that show and should be taken as such.

Opinions are like a$$holes, everybody has one.

For having an intimate wedding, I definitely still would, I think it would be a fun experience and I honestly can't see myself getting upset if I didn't win; I'm not very competitive, but I do enjoy new experiences and I'm use to loosing when it comes to games so it wouldn't be a shock if my man didn't step out of the limo with the ugly roses.

Funniest thing is, our venue was featured on Four Weddings and it won and I chose their special 'Four Weddings Package", do I more than likely wouldn't even be a consideration.

The only thing I hate about the show is that they definitely play unfair with the brides they choose, how can someone with a $1K budget really compete with someone who has a $65K budget? I want them to be more even, I would love to see four brides with budgets of $7K-$10K compete against each other to see what they do with their money to make their weddings have more of a 'wow' factor than the others.

Sometimes the criticism is warranted -- like the three brides who were very unhappy about have to sit and sweat at a scorching outdoor wedding that started 40 minutes late while bees flew around their heads -- or the evening outdoor wedding where everyone was freezing and the food was cold -- or the cocktail hour that saw 125 people squeezed into a space that was the size of ladies' restroom. Other times, the "ladies" smile while they needlessly twist the knife (the repulsed looks while they touch the centerpieces and say, "Eww, they're fake. I was expecting something much classier from her."). I used to think the show was funny, but the more I worked with brides, the less funny it became.

I do remember my all time favorite episode (still think it's funny). There was a bride who spent $100K for her house of horrors themed wedding (or maybe it was vampires -- something like that). It was over the top with everything you can think of (I think a lot of it was put on credit cards if I recall correctly). She was absolutely convinced that she was going to win. When she was bested by a measly $30K wedding, she went nuts. She started yelling that she was robbed and this whole thing was BS (they had to bleep it out).

No because my wedding is pretty much on the "low budget" side and those weddings seem very extravagant.

No, for a million reasons mentioned and their honeymoon locations usually suck. The pictures look nice, but hell no.

Oh my godddd that episode was great. FH was glued to the TV. I think the total for that wedding was $160K.

@Centerpiece That is my favorite episode!! FH loved how mad she got and was predicting which of the other girls she was going to murder first. I freely admit that I would be the overly competitive asshole on that show, which is why I'd never do it! Overall experience? Y'all are gettin' 2s!

    @The Centerpiece Flowers - i haven't seen that one...That sounds dramatic!

It's always interesting when the nice, open minded bride wins at the end, and the one who had nothing nice to say about anything but spent more money comes in last.

I would love going to the other ladies weddings, but I wouldn't want the attention at ours. Selfish maybe lol

I wouldn't want to be on tv and be critiqued, especially because I love my wedding plans and all those girls love theirs. Don't bring me down. I would hate it if I got 4th place for something I love like my dress. I would like to go to a bunch of weddings though and possibly make some new friends. That part would be fun.

No. I don't really like being the center of attention in the first place, so the spotlight of just my wedding is a little overwhelming as is for me. It has been odd that since we got engaged, and even more so now as it gets closer, every time we see any family or friends that we don't see on a weekly basis, the conversation revolves around the wedding. Sometimes it is fun, but sometimes I feel like all I have been doing is talking about the wedding, myself and FH. I would never want to be on any sort of reality tv anyway. Plus, (even though I admit to watching the show) it promotes the shallow side of weddings. It is usually the bride with the biggest budget that could afford a honeymoon that wins anyway, because she was able to spend the most money to make the best experience.

Rachel...seriously, was it $160K? I gagged at $100K (but then again, I prefer real estate to a six hour affair -- even if it's a glittery, gorgeous, six hour, dream affair, lol). I'm so glad I'm not the only one who remembers that episode. You know, it would be one thing if the bride/groom/one of the parents was the CEO of some fabulously successful company raking in millions a year -- why the hell not? But as I recall, that wedding was purchased on credit. They're probably still paying it off at some ridiculous interest rate.
