The reason why I am asking this question is because my soon to be husband and I both birthday is in October is that a good thing or a bad thing to have your wedding as the same month as your birthday or on your birthday and how would you do the gifts. My g'parents got married on G'pa's b'day. They celebrated 56 anniversaries! G'pa would open his b'day presents and G'ma would open their anniversary presents (from us kids).

DH & I got married between my b'day & his so that I was only 13 years younger than him instead of 14.

I'm getting married on my birthday. I didn't want to originally but that was the only fall date the venue had available and it's too good to pass up. It will be fun! Plus, FH's birthday is on Valentine's day so now we're even.

Nope. Not a snowball's chance in hell I'd even consider getting married on my birthday. (July 12)

It's height of the wedding season.

    It's bloody boiling weather wise.

My dad's birthday is the day after.

Maybe FH's (January 24) but that'd make a very expensive month. Sis's birthday, his birthday, anniversary, best friends birthday, christmas not too far before which will have cost a pretty penny - then valentines not long after. Too much clumped together, so we'd probably not.

We're pretty happy with our off-peak (if I hear one guest whine about hotel prices, they'll find themselves with tinsel in their face, it's the cheapest month for bookings here according to the six hotels we're listing on our site), winter with a chance of snow November date. Plus, we know nobody with a birthday that month which is a massive bonus.

I had my wedding on my birthday. Pros: It makes it easier to remember my anniversary, both for me and for others who might want to wish us a happy anniversary. Con: It's sometimes difficult to schedule a romantic night with NotFroofy and a birthday celebration with other people on the same day. Overall, though, I'm glad I did it.

Nope. We both have May birthdays and wanted another month to celebrate in as well. So September it is!

I wouldn't do it in July, only because that's a super hot month most of the time.

I would NEVER do it on my birthday. My birthday is for me, not us. Lol.

Our wedding day is less than two weeks before my birthday. I like having them separate. I'm the only one in my family that was born 10/2 so I'd like to keep it to myself.

If you think it would be neat to do it, then I say go for it. I don't think I would want to do it because it would feel odd to celebrate Birthday and anniversary on the same day. But, there's no rule saying you can't do it.

I like to have my holdays/gift giving days spread out throughout the year so that I don't have to wait as long to look forward to something haha

I personally would not then again my birthday is January which can be pretty cold in Canada. FHs birthday is in July and he refused to get married at all that month because he wanted everything to be separate. Even though we picked August we originally wanted to get married on the 8th but that was his uncles birthday so he wouldn't go with that either.

My birthday is May 7- got married on May 4. My whole family thought it was weird but I hate my birthday. So I dont do anything for it, and me and my husband celebrate our dating anniversary as more important since its the real time we have been together. AND I got to be on my honeymoon in Hawaii for my birthday this year, so that was awesome Smiley tongue I dont know if I would have done it on the date itself but to each their own!

Noooo... my birthday's in January. I'd be worried about snow and people traveling! That and I like the attention I get on my b-day and won't mind having another day of the year that FH has to take me out and treat me nice!

Our wedding is a week before FH's birthday. He LOVES it. Mainly because we're going to be on our honeymoon on his birthday and he's made me promise that we'll do SOMETHING every year for our anniversary/his birthday.

No - I specifially picked a date when not a single person I know has a birthday. It was very intentional - I surfed faebook birthdays for everyone, lol.

It is also about as far away from FHs birthday as possible as I wanted to have something for us to celebrate in the Spring. I might be strange that way though, lol.

I wouldnt care really but would want them to be separate things and would worry what peoples opinion would be about it.
