Would you rather... cut the shower or the bach party?

Well for starters.... we're trying to cut cost. So my FH and I will be throwing a co-ed shower/engagement party. Which is going to he held at a club/lounge. So if his GM's want to do something for him afterwards its cool but I'm content with our decision.

I’d rather cut the bachelorette party. I don’t need a drunken night out with my FSIL and friends.

I rather cut the bachelorette party. Save that money and have a spa day with friends.

You don’t have to drunk fir a bachelorette party. A bachelorette party is going out with your friends and celebrating that you are getting married. Hollywood has turned in into a drunk fest that everyone seems to think it is.

I’d cut both. We have mutual friends (who have spouses or significant others), and we can hang out together. If we want to do something separate, it doesn’t have to be a formal “party.” We know how to have a good time. We, also, didn’t have an engagement party or photos.

That is a bachelorette party. There does not have to be some wild party.

Same for us! I think my FH is having a bach party, but nothing crazy. It will be at the convention we go to in Vegas, and they are all introverts! We don't need anything, so I can't think of a reason to have a shower unless we use it to make decor for the reception!

Shower. By the time we get married we would have owned our house for over a year so we won't need a shower.

Already said I dont want a bachelorette to everyone that might try to plan one. My fiancee said the same. But I'm REALLY looking forward to a traditional tea shower with my whole family (Dad is the only guy so he can either go golfing with his friends or just deal with all the girliness like he has most of his adult life with 5 daughters) including aunts and cousins as well as close friends. We also really have nothing as we have been living on student loans while my fiancee is in Vet Med school and just have a random assortment of dishes that were found/we had from college but no more than 4 that match in any given set and no dinner sized plates at all - we have been eating off of salad/sandwich plates only. And only a couple sized for one or 2 people pots and pans - not enough to cook for a full family. I had my registry appointment over the weekend and it was so exciting actually picking out grown up dishes (not cheap plastic) and sheet sets that match, and towels that dont have college logos on them!

I'm not having a shower, and I don't think he cares about a bachelor party. We're discussed having a co party

I would cut the bachelorette party. I know it's super fun (and I can't wait for what my sister's plan). However, you can get together with your friends to celebrate any time. Having a bridal shower is exciting and it's a nice pre celebration with a larger group before the wedding!
