    We didn't do a shower- I had never even heard of those until this forum. My grandma offered a little while back and I said no.

    We would definitely cut the shower. In fact, we're not even planning to have one. We can do the fun activities that most people do there at the wedding. I think it's good enough with the engagement party.

    Alex and his guy friends are very close. He's been to two of their bachelor parties already, and I wouldn't want to keep him from having them all to his own!

    Personally, I would really enjoy a bridal shower (and a bachelorette party), but if I didn't have one, I think they'd still all be happy to be in my wedding with me, especially if we did prep days together (like buying bulk flowers and arranging them ourselves, or handwriting signs and hanging decorations).

    I'd skip the shower so that he could have his bach party. Smiley smile

    Skip the bachelorette party. It’s going to be fun I’m sure but I’m not doing anything too grand. Just out for a night with a few people. I’m much more excited for a girls day with everyone involved and games and all of that

    Cut the shower. I’m not even sure I understand their purpose anyhow. I’ve been dying to get to Nashville with my girls for my bachelorette, no way I’d even consider that!
