Would you rather... do your own makeup, or do your own hair?

I am so glad you asked this question! I've been wondering the same thing. I'm exactly in that boat of having to decide, and frankly I'm awful at both. So I'm just wondering which I could learn to do better via YouTube by August.

And, of course, hoping for a windfall or generous fair godmother offering to pay for it so I don't have to learn how to do either!

I wouldn’t let anyone do my makeup because I’m a bit of a junkie and I’m very particular about it. My sister will be my maid of honor and I expect she will do her own as well. I will probably have to get my hair done tho.

Makeup! I'm actual thinking about doing mine anyway. All I remember is growing up on special occasions I would sit down and my mother would do my make up for me. We haven't done that in years but I'd love to recreate those memories by having her help me with my make up on my wedding day!

I'm horrible at both, but I am even more horrible at hair than make up. Plus I think one of my bridesmaids could help me with the make up. So I'd get my hair done.

I think I’d rather have my hair done, because I want an updo with braids and I don’t think I could pull that off alone! I’m more confident in my makeup skills, especially if I had a good coverage foundation and setting powder. I prefer a more simple makeup look anyways.

Hair. I have a lot of friends and family who could help me out with hair and they’re good at it.

Do my own makeup! I find makeup easier to do, and youtube tutorials are easy to follow. Hair...that's another story. I can french braid it, straighten it, curl it, pin the front back, or wear it half up half down but that's as far as my expertise goes haha.

I'd rather get my hair done. Makeup is easy to see but the back of my head is not! Lol

If I had to choose I would definitely do my own makeup because I am naturally pretty I don't need much makeup. I think hair should definitely get styled by a professional. A bad hair day could make or break the wedding photos.

My own makeup. But that’s cause I’m actually pretty good at it and can copy a lot of looks from YouTube without a problem. & my hair is untamable.

I would definitely rather do my own makeup. I did my own for my engagement shoot and it turned out surprisingly well! Anything I’m not sure about I’m sure I could learn from a tutorial. I don’t know how to do any fancy styling with my hair though.

Makeup. I can figure that out better than controlling my unruly hair!

My makeup! I never, ever wear my hair up or anything; it's always straightened and worn down. It's so thick it breaks brushes, and my mom used a horse brush on it when I was a kid. For that reason, I never really learned how to do it!

I can do my makeup no problem though. I do it every day; why not for the wedding?

I did get a HMUA though. My trial is a week from today!

I’m splurging on the makeup! Especially with paying for professional pictures, which need the right amount of makeup to look good, leaving that to a pro! My hair is naturally curly so that’s an easy department, I’m going to wear it pretty simply!

My own makeup. I can see all angles of my face, haha. Besides it’s always a gamble as to whether my hair will look great or awful.

Neither! I'd cut something out of my wedding to get both. Too important!
