Would you rather one of your guests show up empty-handed and give you no gift whatsoever? Or, would you rather get an off-registry gift you didn't ask for?

That's a toughy. Probably gift we didn't register for? If there's thought behind the gift I don't mind if it's something not from our registry. But if it's an obvious regift or just something generic that we don't have need or space for probably no gift.

I'd rather get a gift not on registry because it means they though I would want it and I'm sure I can make use of it! Plus I may be selfish but I would want gifts!

Get a gift I haven’t registered for. 1.) It can come in handy some day. 2.) You can always regift a gift.
3.) You can always give it to someone who may need or like it.

We may not even do a registry so I couldn’t be picky( at least not in front of guest) when we aren’t asking for specific gifts. I’m sure I can make use of what ever we get.
