Would you rather... get no gift or a gift you didn't register for?

A gift we did not register for.

THis is a tough one. But as someone that gave a gift not on the registry.....I'd have to say get a gift we didnt' register for. As long as it's something personal I would love it.

Get something I did not register for, because it might be something I wanted but I never thought of,

A gift we haven't registered for.

I'll accept a gift I didn't register for! There's a lot of things I like that weren't on our registry.

I'd rather get no gift. Trying to find places for things we don't want sounds like its going to sit in the box taking up room in the corner of my bedroom.

Gift I didn't register for.... I am all about the thought and if someone bought me something they wanted me to have then that means something to me. FYI I didn't do a registry for that very reason

I would prefer a gift we didn't register for. Potentially it's something useful we didn't think of, or thought would be "too much". Personally I prefer more sentimental gifts anyway (both as giver and receiver), so it would be fun to see what people come up with.

If the gift not from my registry came with a gift receipt that I could take the item back if we didn't' need it, than I'd choose that. Or if it was cash I'd of course choose that. Otherwise, no gift.

Get a gift you did not register for. Best case scenario, you love it! Worst case, you exchange it for something you want! Regardless, it is still nice that someone was thoughtful enough to bring you a gift!
