Would you rather...have a dress that looks amazing in person but so-so in pictures, or vice versa?

I guess I would say a dress that looks good in person because that would totally affect my self-esteem and mood that day. Plus, regardless of what dress you're wearing, a talented photographer that knows what he/she is doing will know how to photograph your dress in a way that accentuates/emphasizes its beauty in photos.

Amazing in person. I know that it will look amazing either way but in person is honestly what counts the most.

I would rather have a dress that looks amazing in photos. I don't know many people that are not gushing over brides regardless of what they wear. But those photos.....they last forever! My mom still gushes over her photos and fusses about the people who were not dressed appropriately. LOL.

My gut is to say photos. Those last forever. Besides if it looks good in photos, why wouldn't it look good on me?

This is so hard, but I think I'm going to have to go with amazing in person!! Hopefully my photographer is good enough to make the dress look gorgeous no matter what!

Hi Jayla, yes & no to your question, Yes I've bought a dress, no I don't want to wear it for my wedding currently looking for another dress or how to alter the one I bought already to look different.

I'm currently in that dilemma. My dress is absolutely gorgeous in pictures, but I haven't seen it in person yet. I don't like buying before I have tried it on and currently it's in LA and I am in Denver. I need to figure out a way to see it to make sure it's just as beautiful in person!

Amazing in person. Some dresses look ok in pictures, but when you see them in person they are absolutely gorg. And sometimes its the other way around.

I would say pictures because if it looks good in pictures, it looks good from 5-10 ft away which is about as far away as most people will be from you on the day. If there are little imperfections up close they wont be noticed by most people and wont show up on film. My dress was my Grandma's and in person you can see a bit of the staining through the overlay we put on when you are really close to it, but in the pictures I have from fittings, you cant see them at all and it looks amazing - even more amazing than in person.
