Would you rather... have one nice bathroom or 10 porta potties?

This decision stinks! Would you rather... Have only one bathroom for you and your guests but it is really nice? Or have ample bathrooms, but they're porta potties? I'd rather deal with long lines for luxury! I'll take quantity over quality! Next Question: Would you rather... your exes show up...

Next Question: Would you rather... your exes show up uninvited, or your fiance(e)'s exes?

Previous Question: Would you rather... have 10 no-shows, or have 10 uninvited guests show up?

Porta-potties, not even close. Ever try to share one bathroom with 10 people when you're all drinking? Really think it would be more fun to do it with 100 people?

Besides, when you rent port-a-potties, they're spotless. It's only you and your guests using them, so you can even sit on the seat! No squatting required.

One nice bathroom. I shudder to think about those porta-potties!

I pick the one nice bathroom. I cannot deal with porta poties and only use them if I have absolutely no other choice. They're just too gross for me. Plus, how will all the guest wash their hands??

The nice bathroom for sure! I think my mother would disown me if I had porta potties at my wedding. Smiley tongue But in all seriousness, peeing in a porta potty in a nice dress let alone a wedding dress? no way.

Neither. I would find a different venue.

Luxury Option: Imagine someone coming and taking a huge #2 who sits in there for a good 15 minutes (say, Uncle Donny). You can pray that Poo-Pourri would work, but that's unlikely. Meanwhile, Grandma's and 6-months Pregnant Sally have probably already wet themselves. Embarrassing for them, and avoidable by you. And poor Uncle Donny. Everyone knows he laid the egg that brought the party to a screeching halt. Smiley sad

if you really love the aesthetic of the luxury venue, talk to the venue manager about using the venue ONLY for your bridal portraits. One venue here that can go up to $8500 (just to use the space) was only going to charge me $150 to allow me 3 hours for bridal portraits there.

Porta Potty: Please do not do this to your guests. This is like the stench of the scenario listed for the ONLY ONE luxury bathroom - and exponentially multiplied by 100, because no matter what the vendor claims the enzymes do, they do not actually flush. Also, not all porta potties have sinks for people to wash their hands!

I ALWAYS check out the bathroom setup and housekeeping frequency when looking at any venue Option, for wedding or otherwise. It's just as important as your bar and food options because it is our job to ensure our guests have a nice time, and a private clean bathroom is a basic requirement.

if you're needing to keep costs down, or want an outdoor venue, keep looking. Many "outdoor venues" have abundant modern plumbing. Also, think outside the box. Religious centers of other faiths, city halls in small towns on the outskirts, senior citizen centers, national parks, city parks, etc can actually have beautiful grounds AND abundant modern plumbing. It takes a while but I'm sure you can find something.

I'd definitely wait in line especially if the bathroom looks like that.. I hate porta potties but it seems even worse at big events

I learned early in my career that porta-pots are a real morale killer. Even those "eco-lavs" are a step up, but they don't behave well if people over-use toilet paper. It's also nice to wash your hands...use a mirror...

I would rather wait for a nice bathroom than have to use a porta potty.

How many guests are we talking about? 50, maybe i can wait in line. 200? Definitely not.
There are actually nice "luxury Porta potties" you can rent now, so that could be a good middle ground.
