I'm thinking of getting a white danec floor. Would love to get seamless but at $4000 that's not in budget anymore I can get a regular dance floor like in the pic below for around $1500. Do you think this is a good investment or should I just stick with the regular wooden dance floor that the venue...

Unless it lights up like saturday night fever, H*LL NO. Save your money. The white will get all scuffed up and dirty.

If you want it and you have the money in the budget, get it. If its stretching the budget then go with what they give you. IMO no one really pays attention to the color of the dance floor. They just pay attention to what the bride has on and the groom!

One more general comment: people notice different. If they see 100 wood dance floors, they won't notice yours. But they will notice white (or checkerboard, or black, or glass, etc.) because it's different. Yes, people will dance on it but they'll not start dancing for an hour or three, which is plenty of time to admire it. Just like with your flowers, your dress, your other decor, etc. Unless those elements are continually changing throughout the event, people won't continue to notice them.

If something is offered for free, take it. Your gonna need that money for something else and when that last minute purchase pops up you'll be grateful.

Thanks for all the input. I would only get it if there is room in the budget after all other expenses are covered (and if there isn't something else I see that I want. . .fireworks is the one thing that comes to mind). Right now we are under budget and if everyone that we think will attend doesn't RSVP "yes" we will definitely have ample room for this and any other extras. I'll focus on the lighting and martini-luge for now and see where we stand budget wise come September.

Hi! Do you still have this aubergine dress? It is gorgeous! Wonder if you’re interested in selling it to me.
