Writing My Vows...this is hard!

Oh my goodness. I finally sat down and started writing my vows. I've written and erased them like, 5 times now because NONE of them feel right! I'm not even sure where to start now! I just want them to be perfect! Anyone else have a hard time writing their vows?

Maybe look into short love poems to give you inspiration.

I love these! They are beautiful!! One thought on the first sentence: Rather then " I promise today to choose you for the rest of my life" say "Today I choose you for the rest of my life. I promise to ...." It sounds good either way, but since you are saying this on your wedding day, I dont really think you need to "promise" to choose him on that day. However, as a statement it would make a nice opening because that is what you will be in the process of doing, and the promises that follow elaborate on what "choosing him" means for the rest of your lives.

This is really great guidance. I haven’t started because I have plenty of time, but I’ll definitelt start here as a reference.

Oh man, I've so been dreading writing my vows lol

Every morning in the shower, I think of the most wonderful and perfect thing to write... but of course, I don't have time to write it all down after I shower because I have to get ready for work, and by the time I'm able to finally write them down, I completely forget all the great things I thought to say while in the shower haha Ugh. Hoping one of these days I figure out the perfect thing to say on a weekend when I have all the time in the world to write them down the second I hop out! Darn showers for being the best place to think!

Hello Stephanie! I think that this type of situation often happens. You just need the support of your relative or a friend to help you with the writing the vow. Keep calm, learn it by heart, and rehearse in front of the mirror. I'm a lead writer at the Paperial online writing service and my ex-husband had exactly the same problem. We both were such naive students who could think only about each other and college. But he came through everything for me and we had the most romantic wedding.
