As you are planning your ceremony, how many of you have decided to write your own vows? This is a very personal thing to do and I’m wondering for those of you that have decided to do it, are you reading them at the ceremony or doing them in private? I am so happy that my husband and I wrote our own....

I am so happy that my husband and I wrote our own. I was so worried about getting nervous and not being able to read them in front of everyone, but the minute I held his hand and looked into his eyes I was fine.
We also decided to have someone (a mutual friend) look over both of them in advance to give us any thoughts they might have and I’m glad we did that.

We're writing our own vows, too. It's so much more special and personal that way. I'm a writer, so mine will probably be very poetic and expressive. He's more direct and simple with words, but has a very romantic soul, so I know whatever he says is probably going to make me cry.
