I’ve seen that people on here do Wedding Wire buddy thing... I used to have a preggo buddy on a app when I was pregnant and I really loved it!! Seeing if anyone wants to be my wedding Buddy ha... my date is April 13th 2019. So far I have picked my colors, just recently picked an venue and put down the deposit. Planning on going to a bridal expo next month. I think I’m a little behind on planning but not wanting to get overwelmed so taking it slow... my MIL & Sister are planning my Engagement Party for April 14th, just ordered my a wedding planner (Erin C.) and I was so excited for it! First thing I got beside my ring ha!

anyways enough about me ... anyone interested I love to have just talk to and see where your at on planning and such... Smiley smile Smiley diamond

    I am not sure what this is but I’m getting married April 2019. I would love to share stories and details with someone. I kind of feel awkward talking to my friends because the wedding is more than a year away LOL

    Yes! Awesome I feel kinda off to about discussing it with my family and friends ha I doubt they wanna hear about it all the time so I try to keep to a minimum ha! So I don’t annoy them haha. So how far are u on planning?? Where do you live? I’m in Arizona just recently moved back from Oregon. Ur not yet sure on exact date? We just really set our date a week ago...

    I didn't even know people do a ww buddy. I actually ended up on the forums page for this exact reason! I'm getting married late March 2019 & I live in a different state or city then most of my family and friends and I would just love someone to talk to about just stories and planning! Most of my friends are single and think I'm crazy for starting so soon !

    Yes awesome!! I’ll add you guys in my friends ha I just discovered that you can add friends on here... I think it’s good to start soon! Somethings u gotta plan like a year ahead... when I was looking at venue most of them we getting full they only had certain dates available in April so I had to jump on!! How far are u on planning? What u got done?

    Awesome idea!

    I'm in the same boat as most of you ladies

    Well... I know my friends and family love talking about it- to a certain extent. I know they'd never say it, but I think it probably gets old... PLUS Our date isn't until summer of 2020! We have many very good reasons for having a longer (ish?) engagement, but every time someone asks about our date or if we've set it yet, they seem surprised that it's so far away. I know it doesn't really matter, but that kinda makes me feel silly for starting to plan so soon. BUT I am super excited and want to start crafting/DIY stuff ASAP so it's not super overwhelming as the date approaches, not to mention the fact that so many venues book out over a year in advance! It takes time to find the right one, doesn't it?!

    I am the MOH in my best friends wedding which is happening this October, too so I want to focus on her right now.

    So much 'stuffs', as I like to call it going on in my life right now, and honestly planning stuff out is a good escape for me!

    We got engaged on Dec 23rd, so it's only been a couple of months but we've already made some big decisions. I'd love to hear what/how everyone's planning!

    The FH and I are in the Washington DC area. We did pick a date, April 6, 2019. When people ask if we have a date I always empathize the “19” lol.

    I have a venue but now I kind of want to elope in Peru. The FH is not down with this at all but I was born in Peru and I like the spiritual ceremony they have there. Plus I think it would be super cool to be married by shaman like my ancestors would have been.

    You are so not crazy! When my mom emailed the venue I am using they only had two dates in October and one in September left for this year! I wanted a spring wedding, really I want a May wedding but the FH’s bday is in May and he doesn’t want our anniversary to be in the same month. Since his Bday, my dad’s bday, and my nephew’s bday are all in May I guess he kind of has a point LOL

    I am so jealous! If I was super crafty at all I would want to do all this DIY stuff. I totally get what you mean though. My mom isn’t even ready to start talking about the wedding and at first she seemed more excited than me. She bought wedding planning books!

    I also initially wanted may but my FH and his sons birthdays are all in May so that was a big no no haha. We are in the Charlotte, NC area. We got engaged on Christmas Day this year. I have like such bad aniexty I felt like we had to start planning super ahead. Everything gets booked so fast. I am also Peruvian!! It would be awesome to elope there. I think the idea of elopement seems such much better and easier as you get deeper in your heads with wedding planning. I have mentioned it plenty of times like "ugh I'm so done let's just elope" haha. so far in planning we have our venue. We have like the ideas of what we want decorwise but I haven't even started!

    Wow Peru would be cool... never been... wel never been outta the U.S sadly... I just looked and we actually have a close engagement date urs is the 1st? Mines the 4th of January of this year...

    We arent doing an engagement party. It would of been hard. All of my family is in New York and his family isn't super close at all. so we decided not to. it's gonna be hard enough to get everyone in one place for our wedding!

    We just started planning last month. I got engaged on Jan 1st. I think there have been 5 times where I’ve said that I just want to elope and at least two times where I was like, let’s just get married at Olive Garden. LOL! I have colors and some dress ideas but that is it. So much work ahead!

    Yes! He asked me on January 1st is this year. So cool! I’ve only been to Peru once since I’ve been living in the US.

    Travelling is nice but it’s so much money. If you ever get a chance to go to Peru I would totally recommend it!

    No engagement party for us either. The FH and I are super introverts. He is from Texas so most of his family and friends are there. Plus I don’t even know what I would do for an engagement party. Maybe see if I could rent out a small room or corner off part of a restaurant?

    Also, yay Peruvian! I’ve only been back once but I really loved it and it was so wonderful to see it with my family. Long story short I’m adopted but my family had been living in Peru for a little while when they adopted me. I got to see the house they were living in and places they went to. Anyway, I am looking for ways to try to incorporate the culture into my wedding. If you have any ideas I would love to hear them.

    There is so much planning! OMG! When I first started out in wedding wire the checklist legit gave me anixety ! .... Im also Puerto Rican & my FH is black. So there's so much we are trying to figure out how to incorporate. If I find out about any traditions I will definitely let you know! My biggest thing was the music. I definitely want Spanish music for my family and I since we are big dancers.
