Hey ladies!!!

There are so many new posters and so many posts lately that I haven't seen one pop up, so I apologize if this is a double. How are you all doing with your weightloss/fitness!?

I started a DietBet for the month of January and was able to lose 4% of my body weight which is exciting! On January 30th, I started the Whole30 (don't crucify me). I'm on Day 5 and I honestly cannot believe I've made it this far. I'm so excited. It's probably the hardest plan I've ever followed. I had a 3-day headache from caffeine and sugar withdrawal but now I'm actually feeling great! I love that I can prep meals for the week and always have something healthy to grab. I don't ever feel hungry!

My dress still would not zip at my fitting this past weekend though so I'm having a corset installed in place of the zipper. I need dress insurance because the Whole30 is intended as a system reset, not weightloss, so I'm not expecting a drastic change there.

    I'm just going to start back up in a few days. I used to work out all the time, but my work schedule since June has been very messed up. I'll go from working 7am shifts to working overnights to everything in between. At least one of my days off I'm getting off at 8:30am, then I have to sleep. I've been feeling unmotivated. My boss gave me a glimmer of hope and said they're hiring someone else to take the overnights, so that will help a lot.

    I bought a Fitbit and am going to learn how to program it today. Once I'm finished with this stupid cold I will get back to the gym with FH. I want to lost 15lbs by August for our engagement shoot. I used to do ClassPass and loved it, but I didn't have the time with work, so hopefully I can stay motivated just going to LA Fitness. Anyone else using Fitbit?

    Everyone's made so much progress! a friend is taking me to Orange Theory this month to try it. I am so excited but not sure if I want to splurge yet. Before I moved to the city I was doing sessions at a gym in the suburbs similar to orange theory (slightly Crossfir style) and I loved it so much. I still miss it. I'm personally down 7 lbs since January 1st and that's by reducing sugar, cheese and bread/pasta and increasing my veggies and protein. I try to drink more water, walk more throughout the day and I've increased my gym sessions. I've stepped up my lifting and I have also started C25K so I'm doing some light running three days a week (I love C25K!). I have another fitting on Saturday and then I think just have to maintain because I tend to lose my weight in my stomach first, and they're already reconstructing my bodice to make it tight enough. Good job ladies, keep up the good work!

    I lost 8-10lbs in January. I don't have a definite number because I am super bloated and def retaining water. My goal for January was to complete the Whole30 and I DID! Today is day 31 and we are going out for thai food tonight, nothing crazy just some soup and trying out white rice.

    For February my goal is to step up my training and put myself out of my comfort zone. Whew, day 2 and I am HURTING! We are following the Run Everything Labs Purpose 28 day trainer. It's done by Dana Linn Bailey and her husband Rob, it's intense.

    I think I am going to continue setting monthly goals and hopefully I will see changes.

    Keeping up on yoga and stretching, and starting up again with hand weights while watching movies. Still in the starting phase, but it's progressing Smiley smile

    Finished my Whole30 yesterday! Today is BREAD DAY! I can't wait to have a sandwich!

    I've also got really severe GERD as well as ulcers. I did Whole30 in hopes of healing my stomach because I was getting heartburn from everything everyday. Well... No heartburn for 3 weeks. Including the night I had spicy sausage and marinara. And yes, I lost weight too! Not sure how much. Didn't think to weigh or measure before.

    I finished my whole 30 on Sunday! I lost 12 lbs, but we went a little crazy on Monday so I'm probably back up a little. We're giving ourselves this week and next week off of dieting (but we're still going to the gym and keeping it kind of healthy) then we'll start doing something after Valentine's Day.

    I did a dietbet once and it was fun, maybe we could start a WW dietbet!

    @Zoe - YAY! I haven't had heartburn in 5 days and that's a record for me!!!

    @Meghan - Fantastic job!!!

    @VM - #myhero

    The one (actually awesome) side effect of the Whole30 is that I am guzzling water. I used to have to force myself to drink water, now I'm thirsssssssssty! I am drinking a ton of water without even realizing which is great.

    Zoe- I got rid of heart burn too! DW has IBS and skin issues and her stomach doesn't hurt and her skin is clearing up. It's amazing. I am not introducing bread back into my diet.

    @VM- do you think it's the bread that was causing it? I was thinking it was all the sugars that are hidden in EVERYTHING. Ugh.

    I have a gluten sensitivity anyway, but I am just cutting out gluten'd products period. Bread, pasta, all of that just leads to unhealthy eating habits for me. Not to say I won't have it every once in a while, I just don't want it to be part of my primary diet. I feel so much better when I eat paleo.

    I won't be able to give up sushi or chips and salsa!

    I'm down 7 lbs since the first of the year. I'm participating in a Biggest Loser contest at my work and tracking my calories and steps. I also started running again and I do that 2-4 times a week.

    Keep up the good work everyone!

    To be honest, I don't give much credit to the existence of gluten sensitivity. Yes, Celiac is absolutely a thing, but you have it or you don't. (I don't know what I'm going to do if I'm wrong and this sandwich makes me sick.)

    Bread was the one thing I really missed. I just like eating with my hands! So sick of forks! The rest of it wasn't that hard for me -- turns out I love squash and zucchini for pasta! I thought sugar would be the hardest, but it wasn't.

    It's just after 8AM in Hawaii. Wish it were lunch time already!

    Argh, I really want to do a WWdietbet but I already paid for one that it starting on the 6th and it was $30. I have about $80 in my bank account until the 15th because eating healthy is killing my finances when it's paired up alongside wedding expenses Smiley sad
