WW Messages issue?

Silverlava, on November 22, 2016 at 2:19 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 10

Has anyone else come across this? At least 3 vendors I've contacted through WW's messaging service have told me they did not receive my message. It seems to be sporadic because they will get messages from me sometimes, but other times they don't. And they are all different vendors, so I know it's not just one person who isn't that great at keeping up with their customers.

They often get filtered to spam. I always go to their actual site and e-mail them directly.

If it filtered to spam, wouldn't it always filter to spam? And it still begs the question of why the vendor wouldn't see it in their WW messages center... unless that has a spam filter too?

Not sure if this if a bug or something, or just me.

Or they just dont read the emails, because there are a lot of people contacting them through WW, and they just say that they never got it, lol.

I never contacted anyone through WW or The Knot. I wanted to see their website and do some more research, so I contacted them directly through their website. If they didn't get back to me, I probably didn't want to work with them.

I second what CJ said, I followed up always with a direct email or phone call

Well, these are vendors I was in negotiations with to book. For example, I sent an email asking one where I should send the deposit, and the vendor never got it, which we found out when they called me on the phone a week later.

Well I guess in the future, I will contact people via email rather than WW.

They may forget about their WW messages or perhaps didn't realize you meant WW over their regular email. I always contacted vendors through their direct emails, just to be safe.

Celia said that the notification they send to the vendors is very vague and easily overlooked in inbox. If you want their attention contact them outside of WW.

Hi @Silverlava! Can you email me (wwlynnie@weddingwire.com) or the support team (support@weddingwire.com) with the specific vendors who didn't receive your messages? We haven't had any issues with message delivery, but we want to check! Also - if your sent message is showing up in your Messages center, it should definitely be showing up on the vendor's end!
