Yay or nay and should i care?

So today while going to her dress fitting my MIL whose also a bridesmaid let me know she too will be wearing red lipstick. Her dress and shoes are red as well as my MOH who I now think will probably want to wear red lipstick it’s an obvious choice goes with the dress. I too am wearing ruby woo red lipstick by MAC. Upon mentioning this to our MUA she says not to be messy but I think they should’ve chose another color once you mentioned you were wearing a red lip. She says she’ll make sure my look is more enhanced. I’ve never believed in theory of dulling down your bridal party so you can sparkle it’s your big day so you will sparkle any way and the better your bride tribe looks the better they feel better pics etc. should I let my MUA suggest to them to wear a different lip? Or should I just go with my thinking this wedding stuff has way more to stress over than red lipstick no one can upstage me on my day? Opinions please.

I completely see what you are saying you want to stand out on your wedding who could blame you! IF I were you I would say the bridesmaids can wear whatever color they want. Reality is no one is looking too closely at your bridal party but ALL eyes will be on you! It’s your day. I would leave it to your make up artist to make you look outstanding💜 best of luck

Well that’s the thing I really didn’t care or give it much thought until the MUA said to me she’s willing to play the bad guy for me if I needed her to tell my bridal party not to wear red lipstick because I’m wearing red. She says some of her brides have felt that way before but didn’t know how to say something about it. I am far from a bridezilla and I really don’t care long as they look great. My sister on the other hand whose getting married in December has already let her MUA know we are not to wear the same color as her. Guess it just depends on the bride.

That it true it does depend on the bride!lol do you have a back up color that you could have your MUA suggest for the girl to wear that isn’t your color? You don’t seem to be a bridezilla who is going to flip tables when you see all the bridesmaids wearing your lip color but is the thought going to be in the back of your head once you see everyone?! Just some ideas to think about. Hope you find your answer soon💜

I actually like the idea of all red when I think of it. Their dresses are red so only natural the lipstick would match. It would give us a nice uniformed look in the pictures too. As I mentioned I never gave it thought before she brought it up and my sister was almost about to die because I didn’t care 😂 So I started wondering like well darn should I care?
