Yikes! What if someone spilled something on your white dress?

For some reason I keep having dreams that someone at my wedding will ruin my dress. Is this happening to anyone else? Lol

The fear of someone spilling something on my dress is the main reason I don't want to go to our cocktail hour after pics. I keep imagining someone dropping a meatball and it rolling down the front of my dress lol

My train got really dirty and I spilled a bit of green salsa on the front... oh well!

They did! Someone spilled red wine on my dress, and my husband stepped on it a couple times! Lol. It is currently at the cleaners and being preserved

@amy - thank you. It makes me happy. And honestly I hated the idea of wearing white. I wanted red. But whatever the red in that dress sucked. So black it is. I'm so excited to be able to do pictures in an old wear house and not be worried about getting it really to dirty!

At my twin sisters wedding she picked up her 1 1/2 year old and he was eating blueberries...blue berries all over her chest. I immediately ran to the bar, got club soda, and my FH ran to the car to get a tide pen. I spent probably 10 mins scrubbing at her chest with the club soda and pen. Another 15 mins after and it looked like it never happened Smiley smile so if something were to happen, just make sure you have a quick thinking MOH. Haha

One of my bridesmaids in my first wedding was in a wheelchair. As we were doing pictures before the ceremony in my front lawn, I got a huge smear of grease from her wheelchair sprocket on my dress. I don't think anyone noticed but me, or if they did no one mentioned it. It sucks but in the grand scheme it wasn't as awful as I thought it would be.

If someone spills something on my dress it'll most likely be me! I always end up with food on me somehow.

After my first wedding, I gave my sister the dress I'd worn. My sister was married in Mexico, and a lot of the indigenous people in the area are quite short--chest height on her--and wear a lot of face make-up. After many congratulatory hugs, the bodice of the dress looked like some kind of abstract art by the end of the night!

I'm worried I'm gonna spill on myself. I'm already a messy eater, so I can just imagine how hard it will be on wedding day.

I spilled a PORTER on my dress. It was at the end of the night though, at the after party. Dress was FILTHY between that and walking to the bar, lol. No regrets.

I would suggest having a plan. Such as asking your trusted brides maids to not allow people with drinks in their hand to approach the bride until all photography for the night is done. We did a receiving line after the ceremony and before drinks were provided so I did not worry too much about this and I could enjoy the rest of the night with my husband. It is you and your spouse’s special day. One day that some give much time planning together too. Unfortunately I know of someone who was excused from a wedding for making multiple attempts to “accidentally” spill red wine on her college friend’s white dress. (Many people asked the girl if she was alright and to please not approach with her drink anymore.) I totally understand a fear as this could be made light and congratulate people who can laugh at a true accident. Most people are cognizant of their drinks and other supplies and did not approach me at my wedding without both hands on their glass to shield me of any spills. Very thoughtful people.
