You know you're marrying a redneck when...

KM, on November 22, 2013 at 8:33 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 26

Spin off of Hilery's camo post. I'm marrying a redneck man. He's educated at least,so whatever. So any other lady who's marrying a southern guy, add in!

You know you're marrying a redneck when...

His mom's side are descendants of a KKK Red Dragon (his great grandfather). They don't like that I'm brown.

P.S.: There will be no camo in my wedding.

His bachelor party is a hunting trip (he hunts all the time) and he has all these saying that people from up north don't understand.

My FH grew up in the city, but loves the woods & fishing. He calls me his country girl because I grew up in a city with 1 red light & used to ride horses. My how things change.

When your FH has 15 aunts and uncles on both sides of the family, including spouses, 60 aunts and uncles! ..and I just realized that doesn't make them rednecks haha.

Lol bailing wire can be used for ANYthing. We keep tons of it around the barn for a temp fix on fences and feed buckets

Omg! KKK Red Dragon?! That's awful! Well, at least he's not like his great grandfather. My FH is the great grandson of Lucky Luciano -- the murderous, womanizing mob boss of New York City!

Haha yeah, they still have the ring and everything. And that's funny! The mob is pretty bad...but at least you have family protection!

Actually, I am the redneck in this relationship. I'm from a town that had a real life milkman where my neighbors flew the Rebel flag and the kids I went to school with had gun racks mounted on their pickups (and sometimes left the guns on them).

The irony is that all four of my parents are from up north (Michigan, Chicago and Ohio).

    Lee is from Philly.

My FH is from a little town in Texas and i am from a little town in Tennessee so we are both a little redneck. I grew up in a town that black people were afraid to live in to just a few years ago. My grandfather told me stories about how they hung a black man at the high school when he was a kid and till this day still make threats, the KKK has even moved closer to the area and started passing out flyers to join them, it drives me crazy.
