Every bride-to-be searches the internet for their dream dress. But anyone who has tried on dresses, and chosen their dress, knows that the internet version isn’t always reality. Show us your internet dress picture, then show us your dress in real life! Here is mine... the Hayley Paige Divine gown.
First off you look stunning in your dress! Love a high neck. And this is such a real topic because I found my dress in person first, and then searched online for it afterwards and was shocked haha. I would NEVER have chosen it from the site. It was so different! The boutique had already done some alterations, for the better in my opinion lol. I don't have the beautiful wedding day photos yet (Sept 2021!) but here's when I tried it on. It's a little hard to tell in the website photo but it had a huuuge flower on the one side of the neckline?? Thank goodness they lopped that off.

Thank you so much! I loved the neckline on my dress because it was unique. You look stunning in your dress! I love it. And you’re right, it looks so much better on you than on the internet photo!
I bought my dress on StillWhite, pre-owned. I'd never seen it or tried in on in person. Fortunately, the dress manufacturer Mikaella has a "real brides" section for every dress on their website, so I was able to see the dress on dozens of diverse women representing different body types, races, complexions, and sizes. It was super helpful in picturing how the dress might look on me. Bonus: I thought the dress looked better on many of the real brides compared to the model AND seeing the dress on real brides gave me a lot of different ideas about how to accessorize (jewelry, veil) and style my hair.
If you are online dress shopping, I'd definitely recommend doing a search for the brand and style of dress you want and seeing if you can find photos from real weddings, other brides selling the dress pre-owned on sites like StillWhite, etc. If you are shorter, have curves, are muscular, have really fair or dark skin, or any number of other qualities that differ from the model shown, it can really change how the dress looks on you, and I found the "real world" examples so helpful when buying a dress sight unseen.

It is definitely nice to see a dress on a diverse group on women. Very few women are “model size”. So seeing a real life representation is so important!
I was donated this Oleg Cassini from StillWhite. I really believe the internet model picture does not do the dress justice. The dress hasn’t been altered and is about a size or two too big. Can’t wait to wear it!
I actually found my dress online and had a sample shipped to the store so I could try it in person. I am VERY short so had to make sure. It's just as lovely in person and I'm getting buttons added all the way down the train! So excited for when it comes in in February!
Thank you so much! I love the minimalism as well. I originally thought I wanted something with complex lace but when I saw this I just had that feeling haha!
