Your engagement: Did you know it was coming?!

I knew he went to the jewelers and that it was coming but not when he actually did it. I thought he was going to do it at crab island, where my picture was taken. He was playing in front of thousands of people and I knew he had planned to do a big wedding proposal. Instead he did it in our hometown in a little dive bar. Shocked me.

He tried to be sneaky, but the jewelry store sent the paperwork to OUR house. I checked the mail before he got home, saw the envelope, stuck everything back in the mailbox and waited till he got home. He came in with the mail and I asked him what was in it. He handed me everything but the jewelry envelope. He had also come back from shopping, something he never does alone and snuck into his "man room" all sneaky like with his bags, left them there and closed the door. I'm not stupid. I found the ring box the next day and had to wait TWO weeks for him to propose. Endless torture. I didn't tell him I knew for a long time. He hates it when I spoil surprises, but he sucks at them lol

Yes, he made fancy dinner reservations on his own, when he usually asks me 500 times if I'm sure I want to go to X place. We were on vacation, so getting ready in the hotel room. I had already seen the ring in the hotel safe because he told me he put our laptop in there and gave me the combo. When he seemed to be weirdly stalling even though we were running late I realized that he probably wanted to get the ring out of the safe so I made an excuse to use the bathroom. As soon as I closed the bathroom door, sure enough, I heard the beep beep beep of the safe opening.

Sort of. We talked about it, and decided it was what we both wanted, so we went and bought a $100 "placeholder" ring.

I was having my ring custom designed (his choice) so it took forever to get the ring. I also got really sick right around the time he wanted to propose, and his idea was originally to propose on the gondala going up my favorite ski mountain - I couldn't ski last year. Unless he wanted to propose in the hospital - it wasn't happening. So we ended up waiting until a few months before the wedding for my "official" proposal - though we'd been engaged / planning the wedding for months! He waited until the day we moved into the house we bought, and before we went in, he proposed on "our" new deck. I wasn't expecting it, I was focused on moving. It was a really sweet moment that made moving into our new home that much more special!

I knew FH was designing the ring but I didn't know that he was going to ask when he did.

I was hoping since we had a baby together and kept it a pretty fabulous relationship without sleep.

We had been talking more and more about marriage, and I knew it was only a matter of time until he proposed... I figured sometime in summer 2016. So I was SUPER surprised back in January when I came home from doing groceries and there he was, down on one knee with a ring.

Yeah I knew it was coming. My H doesn't know how to lie. His actions gave it away. He was nervous, looked worried and a helicopter ride for my 31st birthday sounded a little too much ?? I of course didn't tell him that I knew it was coming, but i knew.

Oh and as we were waiting for the helicopter we were sitting down and i saw a bulge on his left pocket :-)

Oh and he made dinner reservations on his own, and called my dada to see if he could watch our daughter…which he has never done.

Yes. I knew he had the ring in his coat pocket because it was unseasonably warm but he refused to take off his coat. He told me that the coat wasn't too hot and told me to feel the lining which made it cool - at which point I touched the ring in his pocket.

We had been talking about it, but the day of I had no idea! We went out on the lake with our dogs, which we do often but I thought no way he would bring a ring on the boat without a box...... he did!

I didn't know, he surprised me.

Yes...he had asked my father for his blessing and my mom being so excited it was finally going to happen told me!! He asked about a week later and it was the longest week ever! Thinking every day might be the day. I didn't tell him I knew before but I discussed it a lot with my friends.

It was a year and a half after we picked the ring, so I was expecting it at SOME point...when FH took me to a pretty location and started acting real funny I knew something was up

Nope! Not a clue! We had only been dating a couple months and had never even talked about it.

Totally knew. Was with him when he bought the rings a couple of months before, and I knew he had asked my mom the weekend before, and he was taking me to Club 33 at Disneyland, and you can't get much more special than that! What was funny was that we were barely inside the Club when he popped the question. He was so nervous! Which is funny because we had booked the venue a few weeks prior, haha. Even though I knew, we didn't talk about the fact that I knew, so it was still incredibly special. The staff all knew ahead of time and made sure we had a magical night. Best night of my life!!

I knew it was coming when my mom took us to get our ring sizes using the exact same excuse we used to get my sister's size. That I had thought of. And she was acting so weird that day.

DH has no idea. He thinks I was completely taken by surprise, so I've never told him. To be fair, I didn't know when he was going to do it.

Yes and No....I dropped hints and then one day he tried to get me to go to the mall and out of all time I was just not in the mode finally he told me that he wanted to surprise me by looking at rings at the mall! that was in Sept of last year after a few weeks of look I think he knew what my style was. My Bday was in Nov so I though for sure he would pop the question but he gave me concert tickets so I though ok maybe Christmas time well after my bday dinner he completely surprised me and got down on 1 knee as we were leaving the restaurant rain and everything! Totally was not expecting it! Best Birthday Ever!!!

I knew. We had a 3 day plot on how we were going to tell our families. It was carefully orchestrated.

In general did I know that he was planning on purposing ahead of time... No. But leading up to the proposal in the back of my head I was reasoning why doesn't he want to hold my hand on that side and insists I stand on this side?! Must be because he's hiding a RING! So then I have to play it cool until it happens, can't cut him off before he asks and immediately say yes... like if he started tying his shoes or something you know!? And when he did end up asking we were on a little gondola and he had been whispering all the sweet loving things to me then started shaking and pulled the box out of THAT POCKET... I was thinking I knew it!!! If I would have known before the actual proposal I probably would have dressed nicer!
