Your favorite Bridesmaid Gifts

BM gift suggestions needed !

I have 2 maid of honors (my sister and my best friend) and 4 other bridesmaids. I really want to get everyone something special but practical. They've all been in so many weddings so it's tough to think of something different.

I was thinking of getting them all a personalized corcicle water bottle or tumbler from things remembered & then something for the wedding day like earrings.

My personal favorite gift as a bridesmaid was a zip up runners jacket with our names on it. The bride was a runner so it was so fitting and I still wear it to this day.

What were some of your favorite gifts as bridesmaids? Ideas?

This is totally ridiculous but the only bridesmaid gift I actually remember receiving and use almost EVERY DAY is a head wrap you wear in the shower / bath so my hair doesn't get wet. At first I was like, "WTF is this?" but 5 YEARS LATER i'm still in love with it. (yes I wash it regularly).

An exception to this is tote bags. I love em and have received a few that I still have/use. I'm getting my bridesmaids each a LL Bean large tote embroidered with their initials. I'll fill the bags with smaller gifts that remind me of them (common advice - shop like their birthdays). The water bottle idea is cute- one of my BM's is never without once, and has a little girl, so I actually got her two water bottles: one says, "Like Mother..." and the other, "...Like Daughter" so they don't have to share. Smiley winking

ETA: Runner's jacket is also nice idea!

Well, I was a flowergirl when I was about 7 or 8, and my uncle gave me a locket and I still have it and wear it to this day. I have only been in one other wedding party, and I got some jewellery (however, the earrings were totally not my style at all and I don't think I have ever worn them). She also paid for my overnight accommodation at the venue though, which was very generous of her.

Personally, I have so many water bottles at home. We actually had a big declutter when we moved, and we are now only allowed 2 each. But I do love things with my name on it. My favourite is a coffee cup. So I actually do like this idea.

If the earrings are something that they are required to wear at the wedding, then they are a prop not a gift.

I got my bridal party individual gifts to suit their personalities and things that they liked:

I got my bridesmaid: earrings & a necklace (not to wear at the wedding) and a cute nailkit with nailpolish.

I got my male MOH: a cap (he loves caps), a bottle of wine and a magnet (the magnet had a saying on it that was a personal joke).

I was in one wedding and the only thing I use out of the gifts she gave is a compact mirror. I can tell you one thing NOT to do is get a canvas bag in a color the bridesmaid wont use because it 'matches your wedding'. The bag she gave us was Pepto-Bismol pink with black swirly writing. I never use it. I got things for my BM that I hope they like, wristlets in neutral colors that are monogrammed, a canvas storage cube, a soft throw blanket and a candle. I also purchased their wedding jewelry and plan on putting a hand written note to each of them.

ETA: I said pillow, not candle but I got candles... I think I need a nap.
