Your Veil: What, Where, How Much?

Mid length veil with a lace and rhinestones edging. $99 David's bridal. I love it very much

The back of my dress has such pretty detail with buttons all the way down and a corset lace up back so I’m struggling between the cathedral length, which I love the flow of; or the elbow length to not hide the detail on the back of the dress.

What do do you ladies recommend?

$Free.99 for mine. My mom made it for her wedding. I'm not exactly sure what the length is? My sister modeling it is 5'7"ish.

Mine was a fingertip length. Originally $249 from DB but I got it on sale for $50!

I got this fingertip veil with my dress!! It was 200$ and to me falls right in the perfect spot. I wasn’t sure about a veil at all, but as soon as it was on, I loved it!!

My parents paid for my veil when the bought my dress at a bridal shop, horse hair around the edge, cathedral length, $500 😭

I love this thread so I can see everyone’s choices and different options. I’m torn between wearing a tiara or veil or possibly both 😂

My veil was from shop VeilCre8tions on Etsy. It was an ivory draped 90” (floor length) cut edge veil. I paid $33.12 for it, with free shipping. It was gorgeous and exactly what I was looking for to go with my dress! Here are photos from the Etsy listing and some from my wedding day 😊 I wish I had a full photo from the back of it from the wedding, but I don’t have all my photos back yet!

I think mine was something like “mid hip” length from Blanca, but I’m not 100% sure. To be honest it wasn’t at all the length I was hoping for, and I had chatted with them for advice and followed it, and should’ve followed my gut. I wanted it to hit right under my waist, but oh well.
It turned out to be the bane of my existence anyway as it was a slightly breezy day and the veil was so light it spent the whole ceremony blown askew — 2nd pic is basically the reality of how it was all day 🤦🏻‍♀️.

Great thread idea! I know that I was shocked by how much veils cost haha.

Mine was a cathedral length veil with no embellishments other than a thin ivory ribbon lining the edge. It was $220 including tax, and the brand is Erica Koesler. It was from the bridal shop I got my dress at! I really wanted a raw edge veil, but the cathedral length looked all crumpled up. The ribbon edge gave it more of a shape.

My veil is going to be about 150” long so that there’s dead space between the end my train and where the lace appliqués end on the veil. I have no idea how much this will cost when it’s done but I’m guessing around $400. 😱

What a stunning corset back with details! Hmm...I think I'm still Team Cathedral for your dress, but I would choose single tier, sheer and no lace trim.

I got a fingertip, very plain veil from BlancaVeils.com. It was $50. I loved it
