Your wedding in numbers: How many tables at your reception?

How many different tables will you have at your reception? Are you sticking with standard 8-10 person rounds, or switching it up with long tables? Don't forget - your total number of tables determines the number of centerpieces and tablecloths you'll need! Photo by The Purple Chair Next question:...

Hi Laura! Round tables are great! Super inclusive for your guests sitting at them to mingle and they really arrange beautifully on a venue floorspace! Smiley heart Perfect for your guest list size, too!

Three long tables with about 8 per side. One of these tables will be removed after dinner to free up space for the dance floor.

We're going to put the bridesmaids' bouquets in vases on the third table to act as the centrepieces. Is that tacky? Their table will probably look nicer than the others, so I hope not!

Hi Jack! That sounds great! I love how you're keeping in-mind dance-floor space too!

I don't think having the bouquets in vases on the table is not tacky at all! I have seen this done before and it definitely works as both decor and as a functional spot for the bridesmaids to keep their bouquets while they dance the night away! Smiley heart

Our plan is to have 1 sweetheart table and 12 tables (of 8).

8 round tables that seat 6 people comfortably. And a rectangle head table for four of us (we just have a best man and matron of honor).

I’m expecting 16, although I’m not sure if I need an extra table to feed the DJs and photographer

Not sure yet, but we are anticipating 8 to 10 people per table - maximum would be 16 tables but we are hoping for 12 or 14.

None, as we're not holding a reception.
