Zazzle paper quality for seating chart?

Margaret , on March 31, 2019 at 5:21 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 7
I hope I put this in the right category. Anyways, I’m looking at getting our welcome sign/seating chart from zazzle. I got our invitations from there and loved them. My worry is that by the time I get my rsvp’s in, make the seating chart and order it, that if it comes in on too flimsy a paper it won’t hold itself up on the easel we’re using and I won’t have time for them to create and print a new one. Has anyone ordered a seating chart from zazzle that they used the way I’m describing? If so what was the name of the paper you used? They have so many different options but it’s hard to tell until you actually see it in person and I need kind of like a poster board material. I know it would be easier to make one myself but my writing is awful and I have zero creativity. My FH has good writing and is creative but I’ll never be able to get him to sit down and write out/design a seating chart. Thanks!

All of daughter's paper goods came from Zazzle. She didn't do a seating chart (escort cards gave her more flexibility...), but she did a large Welcome sign. In came on nice glossy paper, but it was thin. We just put it in a frame and the venue put it on the easel and it worked great. So, that's an option rather than trying to choose a heavy paper.

I actually like the idea of the frame a lot. It’s something I hadn’t even thought of but I looked up pictures of some and they look really pretty. I may have to go that way and save the stress of worry about the paper quality. Thank you!

Great! The large sign arrived from Zazzle in a heavy mailing tube, so we didn't have to worry about it getting wrinkled or creased before we put it in a frame. I think it was 16x20", so it was pretty easy to find a standard frame that wasn't very expensive. Daughter plans to use the frame for a large print of a favorite wedding photo on their mantle.

We used Zazzle for our seating chart, and it was great! Like PP said, ti was very thin but we had already planned to put it in a frame so we didn't care. Ours was 24 x 36 and we had 118 guests.

Just curious, where did you get your frame? We are doing the same for our seating chart!

We actually got ours at Target for like $25! It’s plastic, but we didn’t care! It served its purpose 😊
