Zumba.....feedback!

I am wanting to try "zumba" as a way of losing weight. I am not very coordinated in learning dance moves, but I hate to exercise. Do they make DVDs that you can learn and workout to before I go to the gym and look like a complete idiot?

I LOVE Zumba! I don't have DVDs but try to go to classes when I can. Many gyms will offer them. A lot are offering Zumba toning now where you hold small hand weights during the workout. It's amazing! Can never go back to regular zumba now!

I have zumba on the Wii and love it! If you're not sure whether or not you'll like it, go on Youtube, there are tons of independent teachers who have videotaped routines you can try out! Smiley smile It's fun, coordinated or not Smiley smile

I have the DVDs and I LOVE it! I don't have to worry about my clumsiness injuring other people in the comfort of my home. And the best part is I can work out as often as I want to, don't have to wait for a class. Go for it! There's also Zumba for your Wii if you have one.

I take Zumba at Equinox the classes are fun and trust me you won't feel like an idiot; newbies stay in the back and watch; you will get more out of a class than doing it at home; but if you need a fun exercise to do at home try hula hooping

It looks like everyone here loves Zumba. I must have taken a crappy class because I thought it was the worst work-out ever. I wasn't even tired or sweating when I left. I gotta try it again, with a different teacher lol.

Let me say I don't think anyone can be more uncoordinated than me when it comes to dancing, but after going to Zumba about 5 -6 times I finally felt good about keeping up with the class, believe me just about everyone who starts off is going in the wrong direction but you will get it after a few classes, and noone will pay that much attention to you because it will take them off routine. Look at it this way you are getting married and they are not so you have a mission to accomplish... GOOD LUCK and go have FUN!!!!!

With the right meal plan you can lose the weight.

I have lost 18lbs already in 4 months.

    Good Luck!
