THE ENGAGMENT
The day we got engaged was a fantastic evening. It did not start out the way Alex had planned it cause we were going to try and see a dueling piano show in downtown Denver but they were closed for a private event. So us still wanting to make the most of the night still went downtown and walked around the 16th street mall and while down there we saw that they had an ice skating rink open and we both thought why not. I had not gone staking in many years and Alex had never gone before in his life so this was a fun thing for us to do together and try not to fail terribly. We were skating for a little while when we were asked to take a picture for another couple there and we said yes why not and asked if they would do the same for us. The picture was going to have a large christmas tree in the background so I thought so we could use it as our christmas cards for the following year. Alex had other plans in mind though. When it was our turn to take pictures Alex got down on one knee and asked me to marry him and lucky for us the young couple took tons of pictures and caught this very special moment for us.

. Our wedding was way better than I could have ever imagined. We had planned for a very fall like wedding and we got something more like out of a fairytale story instead. We had worked hard on finding all the right decor and messing with them to find the perfect way to set up everything and on our big day all that hard work, planning, and headaches paid off. Our big day did not start out how we envisioned it would with the fact that it started to snow and it snowed all day long. Once we arrived at the venue everything jumped into hyper speed. We only had two hours to set up the reception area and any decorations that we had planned on using for the evening. We luckily had friends and family willing to help us set up everything so that Alex and myself could just take our time in getting ready and enjoy the day and all that it had to offer us. The wedding went as planned and it was perfect in every way. Then came the fun part and going outside to take pictures with my now husband and mind you it has been snowing all day so it's safe to say it was very cold by this time cause it's after 7pm.but we toughed it out and took pictures which turned out to something that was magical and looked like a picture from a backdrop.
