26 Jun, 2019The story of our wedding
A beautiful Memorial Day weekend Ault Park wedding. The day started at a gorgeous Airbnb east of the city. Hair and Makeup details were provided by Mandy Rieger of Brides & Beauty. The laddies were dressed in dusk, grape and wisteria Azazie dresses and the gentlemen in Kenneth Cole suits with matching Azazie bow ties. After a touching first look, captured perfectly by Michelle Hoehn videography and Ali Kelley Photography, the bridal party snapped a few quick photos in the Ault Park rose gardens before the rain came. The bridal party then went into hiding while premier park coordinators effectively put the ceremony rain plan into action. The ceremony was led by a high school teacher of the groom and brought everyone to tears. The brides tears were daintily dried with a hand embroidered handkerchief left by her late great grandmother for the big day. Now that the important part had concluded, (and the rain had ceased) it was time to eat, drink and party! The cocktail hour gave the guests the perfect amount of time to explore Ault Park Pavilion while enjoying cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres. Dinner consisted of delicious prime rib and balsamic chicken was prepared by Vonderhaar’s Catering and paired with the most delicious sides. The dinner music was provided by The Ultrasonics band. A mother-son dance to the song “I’m Alive” by Kenny Chesney and Dave Mathews was another tear jerking moment, as the groom is a cancer survivor. The toasts and dances concluded and everyone was ready to get out of their seats. The Ultrasonics led a high energy dance floor and even obliged to the brides request of karaoke hour. The bride sang “I wanna Dance with Somebody” and everyone was drawn to the dance floor. The guests danced the night away celebrating the newlyweds, Mr. & Mrs. Mathews.
