14 Nov, 2020The story of our wedding
Our wedding was smack dab in the middle of a pandemic, but the stars aligned and we were able to have our dream wedding! 87 of our closest friends and family came from all over to celebrate us on a beautiful fall day in downtown Knoxville, at The Foundry; an industrial, yet romantic and classic venue. Our vision for the day was elegant and timeless, with pops of modern and unique touches. We used greys and golds as our main colors, with the bridesmaids in a charcoal grey and the groomsmen in classic black tuxedos. Our ceremony was officiated by a family friend who I've known since birth, in a fully brick room at The Foundry with lots of candles and tears and smiles and live musicians. Our guests moved to a windowed room with drapery and a glowing fireplace for cocktail hour before moving into a huge reception room with lots of twinkling lights and the greatest DJ keeping everyone on the dance floor! The food was amazing, our guests had a great time, and all the details we worked so hard on came together. Our favorite moment was at the very end of the night when our guests were lining up outside for our grand exit and we got a candlelit solo dance for just us; it really hit us in that moment how perfect of a day it was and that we were finally married!
