The story of our wedding
Bernabas and I met at WeddingWire in 2014 while playing on the WW soccer team. We became best friends and then eventually fell in love.
Our wedding was in the Corolla, NC on the Outer Banks. Lauren's extended family vacations there every summer, this year making it the 20th year in a row.
Lauren being Jewish and Bernabas being Ethiopian, we tried to mix our cultures (hora dance, stomping of the glass) with some Ethiopian notes as well (Ethiopian dresses worn by his family, Ethiopian bread at dinner, Ethiopian coffee beans as favors). With that, we also mixed in some beachy/southern vibes (chicken and waffles appetizer!).
