22 May, 2021The story of our wedding
Gabe and I got married in May at The National Museum of Dance & Hall of Fame in my hometown of Saratoga Springs, NY. We were so lucky that all COVID guidelines were lifted for large gatherings right before our wedding. We had perfect weather and no pandemic stress.
We met a few years ago at a wine bar in Manhattan. It was love at first sight. We connected immediately and bonded over: our love for Italian food, cooking, traveling, upstate New York, and especially our love for our families. Like the gentleman Gabe is, he offered to walk me home 30 blocks to my apartment. We made it three blocks uptown before Gabe snagged a first kiss while waiting to cross the street at the corner of 62nd and 1st. It's been smooth sailing from day one and we both knew pretty quickly that we are each other's person.
Our wedding day was as perfect as we imagined. We had amazing vendors who helped our day run so smoothly. Gabe started his morning getting ready with his groomsmen at The Gideon Putnam Hotel, while my bridesmaids came over to my parent's house for hair & makeup. We rented a trolley to transport our bridal party, which was one of my favorite parts of the day. Our ceremony was held at my childhood church, St. Mary's in Ballston Spa. We had a beautiful full catholic mass. Afterward, we took pictures around our venue, The Museum of Dance, and were able to make it to our cocktail hour. We spent the night partying away with our closest friends and family. We'll both cherish our day forever.
