Vintage Winter Burgundy 3 wedding vendors

29 Dec, 2023The story of our wedding
The wedding theme:
The wedding was inspired by Harry Potter as the bride and groom share a common passion for the magical world. The venue was designed to portray Hogwarts Great Hall during Christmas time. Twinkle lights were hung across the cathedral-style ceilings, and four banners of Hogwarts houses were placed on either side of the stage. An interesting fact is that the venue is a replica of the historical Alamo in Texas. It is an architectural marriage of "Texas history and modern rustic details" (The Cypress Alamo). It was the perfect venue to bring out the vintage ambiance of Hogwarts; yet, very unique and romantic.
Proposal story:
The groom proposed to the bride four times! In his wedding vows, he stated "The first time, I was excited for your response. The second, I wanted to see if you were sure. By the third and fourth times, I was selfish, and just wanted to hear you say yes again". It was a magical moment every time he got down on one knee and gave her a golden snitch that opened to present the ring inside.

The wedding gown was custom-designed by a joint effort of Do Bridal from Texas and Linh Nga Bridal from Vietnam. The bride is of Vietnamese heritage and she wanted to showcase the work of a designer from her hometown. The gown is mermaid-style with stunning details of pearls and hand-beaded stones that shimmer like the winter starry night.
The details:
The couple wrote personal messages on name cards for each guest as a wedding favor. Our guests love this detail as it is simple but very special. The card is attached to winged keys featuring the flying keys in Harry Potter & Sorcerer’s Stone
The bride wore white Skechers as her bridal shoes. She is comfortable showing her unique personality and she was able to dance the night away.
The surprise:
The bride and bridesmaid performed a surprise dance to Kpop music and the TikTok trending song "See Tinh". They also had a local Kpop group -Wonderbox- to perform for the guests featuring BlackPink songs. Adding trendy entertainment can turn up the heat for your party
The dinner:
The main dinner was served buffet-style. The menu included 12 food options! It may be a surprise for guests who have not attended a wedding of Asian heritage. The variety of food options is considered important and well-mannered. There was both American and Asian cuisine, dual-catered by The Cypress Alamo venue and Wildflower Catering.
The couple DIY the buffet menu based on The Marauder's Map from Harry Potter.
Lychee sake was a highlight of the drink menu. It was refreshing and a unique experience for guests.
