Jacqueline and Latoya's Wedding in Brooklyn, New York
Industrial Spring Black 4 wedding vendors

21 May, 2021The story of our wedding
When we first sat down and envisioned this day, the most important thing we wanted was to be surrounded by the love and support of our family and friends, to enjoy amazing food, and to have the most epic dance party to celebrate our union. We choose an industrial chic theme and a family style reception. 501 is gorgeous all on its own. The layout allows for a continuous flow from the ceremony, to cocktail hour, to reception. We took extra care when choosing our vendors. It was very important to us to find vendors who are true LGBTQ+ allies, had impeccable work, and were professional but down to earth. Our catering team from Night Kitchen really listened to our ideas of merging both our cultures' food and created a menu that our guests are still raving about. Our photographer Yellow Bird Visuals and videographer Recorramos Planetas both have an organic, creative, and non-traditional style that attracted us as a “non-traditional” couple. When we saw their work, we embraced it and knew they would “see” us behind their lenses. Our makeup artist/hair stylist JoAnn Solomon made sure we looked flawless by enhancing our natural beauty! We loved they way she made us look and feel like ourselves. If we could relive 1 moment from the wedding, it would be walking down the aisle together, hand in hand!
