4 Jul, 2020The story of our wedding
My husband and I are childhood sweethearts. We have known each other practically our entire lives. His proposal was the most sweetest and thoughtful thing I could have ever imagined. It was a total surprise to me, he took me down memory lane on a scavenger hunt that at the end led me to him on one knee. Each clue in the scavenger hunt was a picture of the place, but not a picture where I could guess what the place was by looking at the photo, with a message on the back. The scavenger hunt started with the first place we met which was our church. Next was our old high school, then our apartment where I was then blindfolded and taken to the destination proposal spot. When I took the blindfold off he was on one knee and had a photographer to capture the moment. Planning this wedding was very stressful even before the pandemic hit. After the first wave of the pandemic uncertainty set in of whether or not we would be having our dream wedding. We had to postpone our original date (05/14/20) to 07/04/20 which was actually perfect for us because then we were able to have it on a Saturday instead of during the week like the original plan. At the end with all the ups and downs and frustration we were able to keep our dream wedding just at a smaller size. My favorite moment of the whole wedding was coming down the grand staircase and walking down the aisle seeing everyone cry because my husband was crying. We are truly blessed and thankful for everyone who stuck it out with us and helped us see our wedding day through.
