11 Aug, 2018The story of our wedding
Our wedding story started on 7/1/17 when Tim proposed to me first thing in the morning. He woke up insanely early, and then woke me up hehe When I went to get out of bed he quickly told me to brush my hair. When I questioned what he said he went "huh?", then I said "brush my teeth?!" because I thought I misheard him to which he replied "brush everything." So semi-annoyed went to go brush everything. He stopped at the bathroom to make sure I wanted tea, which is my morning routine every morning. He then rushed downstairs. As I came downstairs, he said something as I passed the kitchen for our living room and I just waved off whatever he said. He then came into the living announcing he bought me a new mug. I love mugs so I got super excited! He put the tea in front of me and the mug said "He Put a Ring on It." As I shockingly processed the mug, he got on one knee and proposed telling me "You're my Person," which is our saying to each other.
After a year fo planning, Tim and I had the wedding of our dreams on 8/11/18 in Haddonfield, NJ. The girls got ready at the Crowne Plaza Cherry Hill and the boys got ready and Tim and I's home in West Collingswood Heights. In front of 280 guests, we were married at Holy Saviour Church in Westmont, NJ at the church I grew up in by the priest who I grew up in the church with. All the bridesmaids wore light blue chiffon dresses of different styles and carried bouquets of Blue Hydrangeas and Peach Roses. The Men wore grey suits. One of the coolest parts was arriving to the wedding with my dad in a silver Rolls Royce and then taking that car to the reception with my new husband, where we were able to enjoy 15 minutes of down time. The ceremony was traditional and quaint, with a very personalized sermon and a flash thunderstorm that lasted only the duration of the mass! From the ceremony, guests and the wedding party reconvened at Tavistock Country Club in Haddonfield, NJ, where are amazing photographer (Martin Reardon Photography) took amazing pictures outside since the rain had cleared. The wedding party entered the reception to Marilyn Manson's Beautiful People, and the Bride and Groom entered to Welcome to the Party and performed an impromptu (the DJ surprised us by keeping the song going since everyone was eating up my husband and I's silliness!!) fast dance before the first dance. The guests were served a three course meal between beautiful, heartfelt, funny speeches from the Father of the Bride, Best Man, and Maid of Honor. The evening was packed with dancing and drinks and laughter!
